There is no way they phone it in imo. Assume (not saying they are) that AK and Rads are completely self-interested / non-team players. This will be their last opportunity to show something prior to entering contract negotiations in the offseason.
They will either play hard for the $$$ or for their teammates. Regardless, whether they are evil or actually great team players, the incentive is there to make a mark tonight. Having a great game will go a long way towards people forgetting this fiasco.
Congrats on a great season guys, I know im a division rival, but I really enjoyed the series and you guys have a great core for your team. Best of luck in the offseason and next season.
With that said, I've never liked Phoenix. I don't hate them like I hate a rival, but I just don't like the team. Never have, likely never will.
Congrats on the win, Phoenix, but...
Go Kings Go
Same sentiment. They don't have division rival hate from me...but they have Canucks type hate from me. I honestly don't like any of their players. There's just something that rubs me the wrong way with that group. Maybe it's all the former Blue Jackets.
All right everyone. I know it's a tough loss, and I know the season is over. Feel free to vent, but let's keep it within the rules. Don't flame/troll/spam/whatever (this includes generalizing the other fan base with the intention of trolling)

Please... for me?
**** Phoenix.

Reason: filter circumvention
If Preds would have played with that intensity the whole series they probably would have won. Hope Rads and AK have a good time tonight.
Not the way Mike Smith was playing. Mike Smith was just a hot goalie compared to Rinne. Of course our forwards shots weren't exactly scary compared to theirs either, which probably made it easier for Mike Smith than Rinne. Rinne however just looked small in front of our goal post compared to Mike Smith who looked like he took up the whole goal post; didn't leave you w/ any room to shot/get shots off or leave huge wide open net compared to Rinne especially on the slap shots the Coyotes would take.
Agreed but the Preds didn't play a beginning to end game until tonight. That isn't good enough for the playoffs. You can't be just "OK" The Preds were "OK" too much this series while the Yotes were playing exceptional hockey.

For one night yes Phoenix dodged a bullet. But if the Preds would have played with that intensity and funneled everything to the net like they did tonight the whole series I would have trusted the bounces would have eventually went our way. Eventually those screens would have worked, deflections started to find their way in the net, rebounds start to hit our sticks etc.
They got the bounces and we couldn't put the puck on net when needed. A tight series, but, we failed to capitalize on the chances we had while they did. Sucks. Can't hate them for doing what was needed. Their big players showed up, ours didn't.
Congrats on the season guys. A conference semifinal appearance is a great achievement and even though you may not think so just now, realize that your team was a top 8 team! I'm sure a lot of your guys want to have a few minutes out back with Rad and Kostitsyn to show them how they really feel. Also, thank you to all of the classy Preds fans out there. It was sure nice to have actual hockey talk instead of seeing "OmG YoTeS suck go to QC." Best of luck next year.
Well, token's alleged "trash goaltender" just beat the Preds in five games.
Honestly, I'm glad this series is over. I slept through all of the games tonight, including ours. I had no desire to watch it at any point. I'm so tired of the bickering, the constant complaining about refs and announcers and everything under the sun, and the fact that this team got totally outworked and beaten at what is historically its own game that I really just wanted Nashville's season to end one way or the other.
Here's hoping watching playoff hockey is fun again.
