He dropped him back there for a game or two during the regular season.

Franzen looked WAY better down there.

so do people still consider rinne an elite goalie after the yotes series?

I know that the preds defense wasn't nearly as good against the yotes as it was against the wings but rinne let in a few questionable goals throughout the series

i think the predators are going to regret giving 7 million a year to him

Rinne is as elite now as he was before our series. We're taking 10 games and overhyping 5 of them and being too hard on him for the other 5. He's a very good goalie who appeared elite because we were too lazy to go to the net and score on him. Phoenix did and scored. Rinne didn't look overly great against us, just like he wasn't overly bad against Phoenix. First two games maybe but Nashville wasn't used to a crease crashing team. Maybe they got so used to Chicago, Detroit and Columbus not doing it that it hurt them. Who knows, but Rinne isn't elite. He's very, very good but he's never been elite. He goes as his defense goes, like most goalies.

I do.

But as good as he is I still would never spend that much money on a Goalie in a cap world.
