Exactly why I didn't want any Canucks participating this year. They've had such little time off the past two seasons and they've travelled far more than any other team in that time. Now there is a chance Burrows spends a good chunk of the summer re-habbing and not getting good quality rest time; which would also effect his off season training.

Tough situation for Gillis. I believe this is the first time he's been called up by Hockey Canada so Gillis denying him would be a big time problem when it comes re-negotiating a contract with him.

Same thing with Hansen since he's one of the best players for Denmark.

Well, he won't be doing any more playing. Clearly got his bell rung. Really feel bad for Burrows.

Yeah. He looked angry, frustrated. You can tell he really wants to just win something to make his off-season a little less miserable.

Hopefully it's nothing too serious.

any word on Henrik's wrist? I remember he got slashed pretty bad on it back in Nov/Dec and he seemed to be trying to iron man through it the rest of the year. It wasn't until Daniel was back that he seemed to play with confidence.

I noticed a number of teams still targeting it at the end of the season.

canucks say ryan kesler has had "successful" shoulder surgery for a torn labrum. He's expected to make a full recovery in six months.
Please come back fully healed this time...

Heres hoping he takes a full 6.5 months to make sure he's fully healed.

So pretty much another wasted offseason where he probably can't train properly and where he'll probably come back too early next year? Cool.

I don't want to see him in a 'Nucks jersey until at least November.

Wow. Kesler with successful shoulder surgery. SIX MONTH recovery period.

No wonder he seemed like such a different player this year.

6 months? Ugh. I guess that will give Schroeder a chance to make the team — just like the one Cody got.

Do we really want to go down this road again with him coming back too early?

Don't rush it. He's too young and too important to this team to become the next Sami Salo.

Kesler had another surgery? And it's going to take 6 months to recover? Correct me if I'm wrong, but this sounds like last year all over again; is he going to miss training camp again?

October would be the 6th month of his recovery.

November would be fully recovered
