Raising ticket prices after that crap-the-bed season?

I might consider paying more if the Sharks could guarantee I won't see Marleau in teal again. I can't stand paying for a game then watch Patty coasting around the ice with his emotionless gaze. I can watch the tree grow in my backyard and get the same effect for free.

If I'm going to pay for a game I want a good chance to see players giving it their all.

Did your tree scored 30 goals last season?

No. Forbes' annual NHL/NBA/MLB/NFL Franchise valuations are annual fluff pieces designed to sell magazines attract eyeballs and advertising clicks.

Take their numbers with a large grain of salt. Their numbers are their estimates. They have no special access to League or Team financials. There have been many cases of teams disputing the numbers as being grossly inaccurate.

Very true. Like I said earlier, Forbes isn't a reliable source when it comes to sports economics.

I am a huge Marleau backer, and I have to agree that this year was frustrating. That said Marleau through more hits than anybody on the team. Other than Burns.

i'm pretty sure they charged us for 4 home games in the first round because at the time they sent the bill, the sharks still had a chance at the division.

Looking at my completed invoices on the Sharks website, it looks like they only initially billed for Games A & B - and would have made add'l CC charges on an as needed basis if the playoffs had continued.

I see a single paid invoice - dated March 3 - for Games A & B + the $15 handling fee. I was not billed for game 6 (Game C).

If you paid by cash/check they may have asked for all 4 games, but if you did the credit card auto-bill they only charged you for the games played.

I was charged for 4 games also on March 3 and I have not seen a credit to the card for the 2 other games that were not played.

Your card won't ever be refunded. The sharks just apply it to your account towards next season.

Anyone know if you can request a refund?

They are a break even business at best, which is actually success in terms of pro hockey team ownership. But the idea that the Sharks are making a bunch of money is ridiculous.
SVSE can easily move arena maintenance and management as well as sharks ice expansion and maintenance etc to the Sharks as an expense. Those are two main ones but there are probably a few hundred other expenses that the Sharks eat that are really SVSE overhead.

You should see a credit on your STH invoice and will have the choice to elect a refund. I am considering that as an option as I am in Section 212 and the "new attack zone ticket tax" may cause me to bail. I'm exploring all options at this point.

with multiple card payments (splitting 5 ways on 4 seats) we were forced to pay for round 1 and 2. if you used one cc it is pay as you go.

hmm, that's interesting. Didn't know they had that option but I never had to do that. Even when I split 4 seats with a buddy years ago in 202, I just paid them and he'd pay me back for the games he wanted.

Anyone remember what the seats in the 100's at the Palace of Fine Cows went for.
I paid $12.00 at the Cow Palace. First row in the corner.

Our first year there. Started in 223 and slowly moved around. We were never there due to new job working evening. :/

Well one things for sure.. I will have a good chance at seeing the Sharks score at least one goal next time I go see them at HP. My first game ever was that 0-1 shut out loss against the Sabres.. Sad first game... just sad...

Now take my money!

Just got my STH renewal packet today. I suspect many people will receive theirs by tomorrow.

My seats are in 205 Row 9, went up $4/seat or 9.5% to $46/seat.
