Might not feel like much of a consolation now but, Bryz made a lot of huge saves this series and in the games I saw gave the flyers a chance to win every game. A few timely goals here and there and its a totally different series.
Tomorrow is the worst day of the year, EVERY year.
As a habs fan who felt the same way for 19 years now, I can say the same. This kind of feel like payback from 2010 though, too bad for Philly you guys had every piece of the puzzle in place except a good goalie and a tighter defensive game.
We've seen the same game 4 times in a row. When his tactic works its great but Laviolette has no idea what to do when it doesn't. See Boston series last year, every game vs the Rangers this year.
The entire team looks flat and empty every other game through the season. His time outs often cure it, but his longer ones before the game don't seem to do anything.
I'm just frustrated. This team could be great.
16 teams go to the playoffs every year. 15 of them end their seasons being out coached and out performed. Its the nature of the playoffs.
How could this team have been great? The defensive corps is below average. They've gotten inconsistent/bad goaltending all year and that continued in the playoffs. We lost our captain/elite defenseman 1 month into the season. How many rookies were we forced to rely on? Against that backdrop, its somehow our coach's fault we didn't win a cup this year.
Hope homer does something in the off season need to move some of the dead weight on this team and i hope we dont resign Jagr good season but disappeared in playoffs spend the money on someone younger.Im really disappointed with BRYz thought he would be better.
Thanks for the season Homer. Blowing up the heart and soul of the team was worth signing "own goal" Bryz to a lifetime contract. So disgusted with another early exit.
I hope your trolling and don't really believe that Richards and Carter were the heart and soul of this team. Really, you wanna know why Richards is doing well? Because he is a complimentary player in L.A. and it works great. Carter is a bum. The flyers got younger, and more production out of the players they got back. And getting younger is not a bad thing. And I know no other goalie in the league ever lets in a bad goal, so obviously Bryzgalov is terrible.
