For EDM fans, it's great. Agree to disagree.

I second this... that song is awful but catchy as anything and I haven't been able to find it anywhere. I think it's a re-done version of a Glasgow Rangers song but I'd love to get my hands on the New York Rangers version.

Used to love when they skated out to Arcade Fire's "wake up"

The only song I wait to hear every game is "Strike it Up" so I can see Larry cut some shapes up in the 400's!!

Hey, I havent been to a game at MSG since about 99 but I remember when they came on the ice they played a remix of Samuel Barbers Adagio for Strings maybe by Ferry Corsten. It really blew my mind. Has anyone heard this played in recent years? Thanks

Pains me to say this as a Rangers fan, but I definitely prefer the music Washington has been playing over what you hear at the garden. It's really all just what your musical taste is though.

Hell I just say go with SHM, they blew the roof off the Garden when they were there, why not set that tone every game!!!

Before 1st....SHM & Knife Party - Antidote
Before 2nd....SHM - Greyhound

Try going through the link I posted last page. They use a lot of the same music every game.

They play this when the Rangers come out for warmups.

They also play the beginning to 'Breed' by Nirvana sometimes during PPs.

Techno is not "politically correct" anymore.

It's electronic/house/dubstep music and this genre is growing exponentially among kids and young adults (16-28yos) -- MSG's prime audience -- much like how hip-hop/rap is currently popular among this group.

This genre of music is extremely popular in Europe as well.

We need more heavy metal and hard rock.

I can't imagine getting "pumped up" for a hockey game with electronic music. When I hear it, I feel like people should be jumping up and down in a club somewhere.

Everyone has their tastes, but I like to hear Iron Maiden/Metallica/Van Halen/Ozzy Osbourne.

That website posted above shows the names of the songs, but many of them are remixes and not originals. For example, the version of "Save the World" by Swedish House Mafia they use is certainly not the original. It's a remix I've been looking for and I have no idea which it is because there's about a million remixes of that song.

Thanks in advance.
I know they also play take over control by afrojack. I remember hearing that often.

Thank you so much for the link! So that's what the title of the song was all along . And I had trouble searching for it all this time not realizing it was under my nose.

I really wish the event presentation crew at MSG could revamp their playlist, it sounds too predictable. Best times were back in the 90s when the Rangers hit the ice to an Edd Kalehoff song not unlike the Knicks' "Clubhouse Turn". Just check the Game 7 SCF intro from the CBC feed... MSG Network went to commercial as the Rangers made their final player intro of the 1993-94 season. Let me tell you, when I listened to the suspense building up as the players hit the ice, I was absolutely floored. SO. MUCH. WIN. And even better later that night when Craig MacTavish took the final faceoff for the first Cup win in 54 years.

Speaking of intros, someone should try sending this song to Ray Castoldi (the music director at the Garden). The trance would mesh right in with what they're playing, and then some. Visualize the players stepping onto the ice at the World's Most Famous Arena - especially at the 1:20 mark of this track. Link at the bottom:

What You Didn't See on MSG Network...

...unless you were AT the Garden on the night of June 14, 1994. (Or watching HNIC)
