Do we always have a full complement of players exit the ice, regardless of who actually will play. I am thinking Halpern was taken off with the starters only because Beagle wasn't on the ice today, our lineup unchanged, Aucoin in

Well that thought just took the wind out of my sails...ughhh
Sadly that makes sense...MOAR Aucoin gruel for us!
Is it normal to have a less than full compliment exit the ice, when someone that is guaranteed in, is not on the ice, like today?
Maybe they do for superstitions. 20 off at the same time every day.
Ward Halpern Knuble just makes so much sense. Aucoin gets eaten up on the boards, yet that's where his wingers are paid to do their thing. While he can make some quality passes given the space he needs, I really think Halpern can do the same given the same space.

not to mention Halpern's face off expertise can come in handy ..could have used it the last 5 minutes the other nite.
I have to say I don't always like that players seem to decide when they are good to go. Its obvious Beagle has taken a few lumps. I saw him miss his assignment on the 3OT goal, a huge gaffe in a tight series. I haven't seen many stud plays of late out of him. I presume he lost his fair share of faceoffs late in the 3rd last game.
Does anyone think he is going to choose to sit this one out? I hate almost every year we see injured players sucking in the playoffs, yet never rested. A lack of depth, sure, play the mummies. With a guy like Halpern at the ready, its almost a no brainer to sit Beagle for a game from what I have seen and read.
BTW I don't know why you all think Ward is gonna break out in this game. Clearly it's Wide's time.
Wideman wears #6.
This is game 6.
He's constantly the 6th best defenseman in the Caps lineup.
Rangers are the #1 seed, Caps are the #7. 7-1 = 6.
Assuming the caps win 1-0 on a Wideman ESG, his +/- in the playoffs would become -6.
