You're right, you remember those calls from Collins but you don't remember any from Gregson.

BTW, those were horrible calls, especially the second one.

Washington has to be discouraged right now after that loss. DO NOT let them score early and get the crowd more into it and give them their confidence back. Rangers need to score 2 first period goals and I think if they do that, the Caps will fold. LGR!!!

Prust is 90% useless in the playoffs. Not sure why he gets so much ice time.

I find it to be ridiculous and ******** how every NHL analyst has said that game 6 is already won by the Caps and that this is going to 7 games and that the caps have the edge..

How so? I dont get it. Do they see something that i dont? I see the Rangers outplaying the Caps and starting to find their playoff games again being able to start scoring. While the Caps arent down and out yet but come on!

Anyway, Lets kick their ***** and end it in their home arena and stop these Ranger haters for good.

LGR!!

Sigh. I hate fans who label players "useless" because they're not sexy snipers. Prust gets pucks deep. He holds ONTO pucks. He makes smart passes. He hits. He forechecks. He blocks shots. Hes a very good PKer, very under appreciated but he always has his stick on the ice in the right passing lanes defensively. It makes a bigger difference than you think. Prust has been better than Boyle or Rupp in this series. Every team has 4th line players. You can't have a team full of goal scorers.

90% useless? That's 100% bulldung.

He was this in the regular season but he's been practically invisible, especially this round. Doesn't throw many hits or grind out like he normally does.

We've got the momentum of the series now. We are going to win this. I'm almost sure of it.

Sigh, and I hate fans that use reason and common sense when they post. It shows they actually watch games and understand hockey. It is so much more fun to panic like your hair is on fire.

BTW great post! It really is amazing that people have no idea how a team is constructed.

While Prust has hands like Roberto Duran ( Manos de Piedras ) Torts has more confidence in him being on the right side of the puck in all situations. Prust lacks any of the tools of CK except experience and a bit of poise .
What baffles me is Torts not using CK and his shot on the PP more . This is a much safer place to play the kid .
Bottom line NYR are sticking to what they did all year , " find a way " to win games .
In all honesty as ba as NYR PP is it has helped them win most of their games thus far in the PO

You just described Prust during the regular season, who's an awesome bottom 6 guy.

Prust thus far in the playoffs has been a disaster along the boards, makes horrible passes all over the place, and has failed to clear the puck on numerous golden opportunities during the PK. He's been flat out bad this post-season.
