So long Alex Henry

Alex Henry just signed a 1 yr deal to play in Germany, great guy, wish he was skilled enough to play with the Habs as the heart and dedication was there

DDD: Your Canadiens ‏ @DailyCanadiens
#Habs Alex Henry will not be back with the @BulldogsAHL next season. He signed a 1-year deal to play in Germany. #GoHabsGo #Canadiens

At least that will end the "call up Henry" threads.

It's a logical move with Beaulieu and Tinordi coming in, the LD position in the Hammer was well covered.

We need a vet who can play the right side down there though.

We do need vet presence on D though. And Henry was a pretty good leader from everybody's account. We'll see how comes in.

They'll have to replace him. He was a leader for the dogs.

so much for the belief by a very vocal group of posters that we were stupid to not have him in our lineup. The guy simply was not an NHL caliber player and everybody under the sun, including Henry, knows it. Goodluck in Germany Alex, hope you have a lot of fun.

Nash should get the last spot on LD. Who's playing on the right side?

That sucks. True leader in the dressing room that will need to be replaced come next season. Makes sense for him to move, as was said with Tinordi and Beaulieu possibly making their way. Good luck in Deutschland, Alex!

He will be missed in Hamilton but it's a good move for him, good luck in Germany.

Ellis, Pateryn and Stejskal.

Stejskal can be the 7th defenceman or in the ECHL.

There's also St-Denis who could be back if he doesn't make our team and we can squeeze him through waivers. He plays the right side.

And he's still contributing to the big team. Freed up a contract spot for a certain underperforming centre.

Thanks Alex.

You got shafted by Montreal.
You should have seen a lot more games here and many fans agree.
Best of luck overseas ,enjoy it .

Thanks for the service.

Good. It creates an opening in the organizational roster for a new player. Henry had no future in Montréal.

If he should have seen games in the NHL he wouldn't be going to Europe, plus I'm sure he's had to clear waivers every season to go to Hamilton. He's a minor league player who plays in the minor leagues.
