It's alright. 20 more minutes. Just come out and play in the 3rd and it'll be ok. Do this Rangers! Let's go!

This is by far the ********* performance I have seen out of this team in the entire playoffs! Your coming off of an amazing game 5 OT win, you have a chance to put away a very dangerous team before they have a chance to eliminate you, and this is the way you come out? It aint over, but we're getting close to needing a miracle again.

Is one dominating win against a team too much to ask, I mean this is the number one team in the East right?

Just one ****ing win where it isn't a 60 minute heart attack.

They will win game 7, I am sure of that, but I am not hoping for anything less than a 1-1, 2-2 OT nailbiter.

Holtby has been giving up bad rebounds all game. McGuire even said yesterday that the Rangers are letting Holtby off the hook in this series by not capitalizing on rebounds and loose pucks around the net.

Every time I watch games with friends and we're down going into the third, I always mention how Torts will tear them apart and they will come out on fire. Let's do this.

I feel the same way. Tonight's performance has (aside from Lundquist) been the exact opposite of what you'd expect from a supposedly championship caliber team. The Capitals look much hungrier and are outworking the Rangers every step of the way.

It's disgusting that this is the performance they put up in an elimination game.

That's the difference though. The Rangers can slap the puck around in the Washington zone for five minutes, then a puck takes the 786,325,476,902nd ridiculous bounce, and the Capitals pounce on it, get a 3 on 2 and end up scoring on the one chance they get.

Do you not remember the shooting barrage on Hank early in the 2nd? Hank has faced better chances every few minutes of every game of every series so far. The offense has been putrid, besides Richards.

If we had ONE of Ovechkin or Backstrom, we would've swept the Caps.

A little bit of overreaction here, I think.

Chances are not good for this game. I agree. But you'd think this was game 7.

Well, they do hit posts and crossbars and those don't technically count as a SOG.

This is our biggest problem. We can't score with these horrid lines.

They've scored zero goals in the first 40 minutes and are suddenly going to be able to score 3 in the last 20 minutes?

I don't think so.

The Caps haven't had too many great chances either....both of them went in though.

Any reason to watch the 3rd to see a frustrating shutout?

Yeah that bothers me too ... we are being totally dominated.

It could be said that we are overreacting but honestly we are not.

Like you said, a chance to kill and we come out like this. It was expected that the Caps would come out strong but the performance even after the Caps initial surge has been embarrassing.

I've generally been a Tortorella supporter, but he deserves to be fired after the way he's handled the past 40 minutes. Go down early, make no adjustments after failing to tie it after the first. Go down 2-0, arguably our best player in Game 1 is stuck on the 4th line getting 3 minutes of ice time, and 3rd/4th line tweeners are getting top 6 minutes. To top it off, still no adjustments have been made. Same old dump and chase strategy, down by two goals.

My blood is boiling right now. Distraught is another way of putting it. It's been sickening to watch the way this team has played and been managed this game when the chance to do something this organization hasn't done in 15 YEARS is right there for the taking. This game can still be salvaged if adjustments are made and the rightful players get the ice time they deserve. I'm not counting on it though.

Not to mention he faces a breakaway against Backstrom and Chimera every game it seems.

i have never seen a coach mess with the lines the way torts has...especially in a important playoff series...i have never seen a coach play 4th liners the way he does in an important playoff series....i really wish the media would ask him why he makes these decisions and what is his line of thinking?
