Well, they'll be infected with Rangeritis aka dump the puck and shoot the puck wide....

No one will. Media are pansies. They may fry people on the radio, newspapers, blogs, etc., but they'll never do it in a press conference.

I've always hated Brooksie, but he needs to light a fire under Torts' ass.

Pathetic.

Anyone remember the last time Rupp hit someone? He seems disinterested in the whole idea of body contact.

Remember when Kreider was the Rangers' game-changing breakout star a week or two ago?

Think it might be a good idea to give him more than 3 minutes of ice team when the team can't generate any offense??

You'd think every game we lost since January was game 7 on these boards.

I love Angry Torts.

I hope he is screaming at them exactly like that right now.

Disagree. He maybe has matched Lundqvist, but the Rangers offense has been unimpressive throughout. Holtby isn't robbing them left and right, he's making routine saves that yes, even an AHL goalie should make.

This is the story of the past what, 3 years?

The Rangers never test rookies, mediocre goalies, and has-beens. When they do, magically they usually score, shocker.

When the Rangers put up 30+ shots, 99% of them are from the perimeter, bad angles, and through traffic in to the logo. It's pathetic.

Could you imagine how good this team would be with just two legit scoring lines that were consistently dynamic?

Caps look like they want it more, plain and simple. And the PP is once again killing this team. Gotta get one on the 4 minute PP.

20 minutes to get it together. Not quitting on the team because they've proved me wrong over and over but if they come out with the effort they had in the first two periods, this game is about over. LGR!

Rangers suck........think i'll go route for the Kings. Thanks.......

PS. Absolutely pathetic performance so far. Laying another absolute EGG after Monday night. Unreal. Worst PP in the League, no hustle tonight. Caps want it more. We seem like we shoulda just stayed in Manhattan. No Show. No Heart. What else needs to be said

Not an overreaction at all.

A supposedly championship caliber team should not **** the bed like this in an elimination game. This team has no killer instinct, an anemic offense and powerplay, and is getting severely outworked. Those problems should give any Rangers fan powerful doubts about the outcome of Game 7.

I'm not saying Lundqvist has had a bad series, but I think Holtby has been better.

Don't need Kreider when we have offensive juggernauts like Prust, Fedotenko, and Mitchell.

To top it off, still no adjustments have been made. Same old dump and chase strategy, down by two goals.

My blood is boiling right now. Distraught is another way of putting it. It's been sickening to watch the way this team has played and been managed this game when the chance to do something this organization hasn't done in 15 YEARS is right there for the taking. This game can still be salvaged if adjustments are made and the rightful players get the ice time they deserve. I'm not counting on it though.
Fired is extreme ... but he needs to rip them apart and wake them up and start playing his TALENTED players.

I generally like Torts but the lines right now and personnel decisions are just baffling.

However, the players bear some responsibility too. I don't think I've ever seen Callahan play this poorly.

can i make a suggestion again...get a new bottom 6 and keep letting our young guys develop
sign gaustad is all i want and then trade most of our bottom 6 for something idc what just something

hags-richie-gabs
kreider-step-cally
JTM-AA-CT
boyle-gaustad-rupp

McD-G
Staal-DZ
Stralman-Erixon

Lundy
Mason (or anyone else not named biron)

obviously sign parise if he wants to come here but rolling 4 lines is better than rolling 2

It's not an overreaction, but the game and series isn't over yet.

If they play like this in the 3rd and next game though, it is. This really is a pathetic effort.

Those things are an overreaction, but if you're not severely disturbed by the performance you've seen, there's something wrong.

I haven't seen anyone say Torts should be fired. Should we not criticize him for these awful line combos?
