He didn't get a hattrick skating with Rupp and Mitchell so he will be a healthy scratch for no one. Boyle will be double shifted.

Even better predict Prust, Boyle, and Mitchell's icetimes.

I'll say 15 for Prust and Boyle
12 for Mitchell
and 6 for Kreider

My mentality.

Did anyone actually expect a win, here? Just do what we did in the last 10 minutes, and we'll win. Of that I am certain.

That being said, it doesn't excuse the travesty that we witnessed tonight. Tortorella was embarrassingly outcoached.

A ton of it is in the coaching. This team ices Richards, Gaborik, Callahan, Kreider, Hagelin, Stepan, and McDonagh yet a 1-0 deficit might as well be 8-0. It shouldn't be that ****ing hard for this team to net a few.

At end of day, let's face it:

We've been outperforming our skill level all year. It's bound to fall back to earth. Season got hyped too much due to regular season record. Reality is that this is still a rebuild year and we will be better next year and the year after that.

We could win game 7, but if you had to make me bet, I'd pick caps. They are just playing as a team with solid lines and solid system. We are running around like chickens with our heads cut off.

If not for some heroics last game and the post in OT in game 3, we would have only won 1 game this series. Pathetic.
For someone who says we a lot as if you're part of the team, you sure don't have a lot of confidence in the Rangers ability to bounce back and never give up. Sure the played pretty bad tonight, but with the season on the line I think everyone in that locker room will get the realization that if they don't show up on Saturday, its over. Yeah they will be better next year, but that doesn't mean this year can't produce great results. The Devils got to the conference finals, yeah, but they played a team who had no defense and a head case for a goal tenders so don't use them as reference points saying "Oh but the Devils made it farther than the Rangers, they clearly played above their level, smoke and mirrors blah blah." They will come out on Saturday and play their hearts out. They may win, they may lose but they will play hard, especially since they have the ever so important home crowd to back them up.

I think it's tough to lay the blame on Torts' line combinations. Fact of the matter is, the boys weren't playing hard. i dont know what changing the lines will do for a team that was, for maybe the first time in 2 months.....Lazy.

Didn't it seem like, when we had guys in front, we waited until they got out of the way before shooting?

Such a pathetic effort. I just hope that Torts doesn't think of this as a moral victory, losing by 1. This team was HORRID.

PK-STOP leaving Ovechkin open in the slot. It's ****ing pathetic how much room he had.
NBC circle jerking Holtby was just horrible to listen to. Good thing he didn't get his shutout. Rangers were pretty much ready to hand it to him.
The powerplay goes back to being atrocious. The 4 min. PP was literally painful to watch.
How the hell do the NYR have only 6 blocked shots? The play was in their zone most of the time.
Torts and the ice time distribution was mind boggling. Why are Boyle, Prust, and Feds playing top 6 mins? Yes: Kreider screwed up...3 games ago. Boyle passed the puck to Laich in Game 5 for his goal. But torts will continue to play favorites.
...lastly, we've seen that momentum doesn't carry over game to game in this series. So take Game 7 at home, boys!

The bad news is, now I have to do a combo GDT with Loffen again for game 7 so that we win. Guess I know what I am doing Friday night.

You'd think that after what happened in game 5, that we would bring out a monster effort in game 6.

Its funny because the coaches and players spoke about how they always bring their max effort and none of us could have really argued that point.

I agree with most of you - some epic fail line combos out there. Some epic fail strategies out there.

I am glad we get the 2nd day off so Cally can work the room.

we plain out sucked today.

On the bright side, everyone will have a stinker. Good thing it'll come in game 6 not in game 7.

We'll also get the last change on Saturday and that'll be huge.

Took them 59 minutes to realize you have to crash the net on this guy. 59 ****ing minutes.

Whatever. I'm disgusted by the effort tonight but it's over. Come out strong on Saturday and take the game.

This team sucked big time tonight.

Lundqvist is horrible playing the puck and I'm being a fanboy of him here.Scott handles the puck better.

No stars tonight as the whole team was eclipsed.

Both NBC and CBC.ca feeds were hard to hear. Hate all those homers.

We were even trolled when their screens showed the believe ad in the last minute of the game.

And I *********g hate that ugly mother of Holtbys. She's so annoying cheering for him.

God us

and kredier needs to be on the ice over prust and mitchell. Am I the only who is getting sick and tired of prust cringing and looking like he's laboring when he skates around and inevitably turns the puck over. Mitchell falling more than hartnell is getting to me as well.

Not that it matters now, but was that even a penalty on Stralman? I thought he got puck first. Also, was Callahan out of position because he fell on the **** they call ice, or was he hooked down?

I'm sure Washington scores early anyway, so I'm NOT blaming refs or anything like that.

Obviously a coincidence. Perimeter shots to the logo are key to winning.
