Kreider needs to play top 6 min . Our transition game so much better with him . There's a reason why him Mitch and RuPP had some chances .... Kreider speed off the wing . Same reason Chimera gets chances

99.9% of Wash goals have gone glove side from the slot. 0.01% of our goals have been against Holtby's glove.

But lets keep trying the same thing.

What's that be completely ineffective in the offensive zone and pray for a bounce off a Caps' ass? There were 0 minutes of this game that they should try to emulate. A complete disgrace of a performance. A joke. They embarrassed the organization.

I wasn't gonna say it before the game but am I the only one who honestly thought we were gonna lose tonight?

The "effort" was fine tonight, IMO.

They were simply outplayed and ridiculously outcoached.

Very disappointing effort. Players deserve some blame for not showing up and Torts has to take responsibility for failing to adjust the lines when they weren't working.

I just don't understand why tonight of all nights Torts decides not shuffle the lines. Anisimov-Boyle-Callahan has been horrendous and Prust's poor play has earned him a spot on the 4th line. Playing Kreider on the 3rd line at least wouldn't have been the worst thing in the world.

Rumor is that James Dolan called up Torts and told him to play these atrocious lines & arrange a game 7 at MSG as Jimmy Boy already knows The Cup is ours and he just wanted some extra gate money... Already added 20% to the regular season attendence in Postseason, greedy MFer...

Tortorella got outcoached by a vampire look a like. Those lines were a frickin' horrorshow

An abysmal game with atrocious coaching. Why didn't it occur to Mr.I Love to Juggle Lines for No Reason to reunite krieder-stepan-callahan when it was obvious our offensive was nonexistent??
Our PP is another pile of sh** that has no creativity or movement whatsoever. Jeez guys I wonder what Richards is going to do but I'll put my money on carry it in and get smothered off the puck.
This team is full of expendables and I hope to see a lot of them gone this summer. (looking at you mitchell, fedotenko, rupp, bickel, prust)

I'm thinking Kreider must have ****ed Tort's wife.

only probable answer I can come up with that would warrant that little ice time for a player that actually has offensive talent.

Yeah. Nothing anyone can do except hope for the best and believe in the team. They're not always going to play their best. It sucks when that happens during the most important games but that's life. They should have played better tonight. But I truly believe that they are going to figure this one out and Saturday will be a different story completely. This sucked but they are much better than that. This was like watching the Islanders.

I had a bad feeling. But it comes with the territory of being a NYR fan I guess.

Time to re-unite the Ailurophile's Signature line. Either that, or put Artie between them. Need another line that can be a threat out there. Kreider should have some fresh legs after only playing so few minutes tonight. Get him out there and let the kid play. It worked early in the series and we are HOME for this game. #FreeKreider

thoroughly disagree.

I thought this was the worst performance by the skaters in a LOOONNNGGG while. I dont think they hustled at all.

I also think ridiculously outcoached is kinda funny. Home team gets last change. they are going to get the matchups they want unless you want to play the keep away game. only issue i have with torts were the lines, and i dont really think they were as awful as everyone else.

good? no. awful? no.

Even the NBC guys were raving & clamouring for Torts to shake things up on the lines and specifically commended the 4th line at least twice. But Coach did... nothing. Conspiracy I say, the aliens are interfering here somehow

We've now played 95 games and Torts has been outcoached in probably 92 or 93 of them. This is no surprise. The guy's not that great a coach.
