Was going to start one like this. This team relies on him to spark them when they're sluggish. He hasn't been playing his game at all. Not getting good positioning around the net, not pestering defensemen, and making bad , sloppy plays with the puck.

Brutal. Even if we win this series, I see no way past NJ if he doesn't start to show up.

He had a brutal game tonight, but I don't he's been nearly as bad as everyone is saying in the series as a whole.

He's just not leading....and it's hard to have any praise for a captain who is skating around w his head cut off.

Needs to step up BIG in game 7...

Look at how Parise played against the Flyers. That's a true captain. Really shocked and disappointed by Callahan's performance.

He's trying to figure out why he's playing with Boyle.

Yeah playing with a 4th liner as your center and Mr. Consistency as your wing isn't helping.

He's been gifted minutes with Richards, Stepan and literally everyone else in the lineup. He is a big part of the problem with this team.

He was pretty abysmal (with MDZ) on the PP tonight. He might be injured somehow though, heard a rumor about it...

Tonight was the worst he's looked since 2007-08. Not even just offensively, something looks off. He blew his coverage on the PK, took a bad penalty, wasn't as noticeable on the forecheck.

Like we want cup said, this team really feeds off Cally's energy and we need him to lead by example. I remember he had a huge hit in Game 1 of the first round and it really set the momentum for the whole night. We need more of that from him.

Callahan is letting this team down. He's been a ghost out there.
terrible showing. I'm very disappointed in his play in this series.

he's looked mediocre in about 8-10 out of the 13 playoff games we've played. no impact at all in those games.

it wouldnt surprise me at all if his hand is broken though. didnt he block a shot or something in the first series and he missed practices and stuff?

obviously injured. hopefully he gets some rest and it's nothing serious. come out game 7 looking like a wrecking ball and get a goal. that's what i expect cally to do, but he needs help. almost everyone sucked tonight.

Get him off the Boyle/Anisimov line, get Kreider, Stepan on his line.

Well I mean this whole board is basically nothing but gross exaggerations. Hes been pretty average but that doesn't cut it for your captain. This team needs him to be better. I get the feeling he comes out flying to start the game Saturday, hopefully with Kreider and Stepan

I agree...Callahan was atrocious tonight.

No big deal, not taking a lot of stock in it. Players have off nights. Hope he comes to play on Saturday, along with the rest of the team, because no one really showed up tonight...

If not for Callahan, we lose this series tonight. I still have faith in my Captain.

Agreed.

But at some point, he needs points too.

He has looked out of sorts recently...Not sure if something is up with him...But we desperately need his energy and crashing the net abilities

hmmmm...didn't he score a pp goal earlier in the series that won us a game/ or was a game winner or what not? cant remember.

either way, he's had some decent games in this series, but by and large ive been very disappointed with #24...and considering that kids character i wouldnt be shocked at all to hear he's been playing with a broken hand.

Playing w injury is only thing I can think of as well...he's playing totally out of character...

Assuming he is injured: at what point does "playing through the pain" become disadvantageous? After so many lackluster games, you'd think he'd sit for a few games if there were a legitimate injury.

You don't see Dubi out there trying to skate, so obviously there is a line somewhere. How bad does an injury have to be before you sit? and if Callahan is playing this poorly due to injury, doesn't that suggest that maybe it's not something that can be "played through"?
