BTW, these Fenwicks that look at shots to determine which teams are the best. Shots on goal today 31-23. According to the Fenwick that's a dominating performance right?

I mean we all get extremely mad. This is our love and passion, it is not just a game for us, it is our love and we do get mad. But come on, lets be rational here, I don't think we would be here without Torts.

Rangers will win the Cup going to Game 7 in every single series.

You pick good players and good fits for your team and you get a happier return in the end.
Neil Smith put the team together.

Keenan wanted more "grit", so he forced a trade of Mike Gartner for an old Glenn Anderson. The other moves slowed the team down, which probably made the Devils series a whole lot more difficult.

Keenan was such a strong personality and in that stressful moment almost caused the team to crack.

Don't forget, Keenan took three other teams to the SCF, only to see those teams crack (Philly '85,'87, and Chicago '91)

I watched Torts in games where we're losing or not up to the level we should be, and we just lose. Forget Monday! you won't see that game for another 100years.

The guy coaches only one end of the ice. There is no excuse for having a powerplay this ineffective all year long. There is more than enough in personel to construct a halfway decent unit.

I just can't understand how he has no ability to effect change during the course of a game. the team justs lets the clock wind down and
only shows desperation within the waning minutes of the game.
What kind of system is that? It's coaching not to lose.
It's loser, Pu$$y hockey. this team has no balls. this coach is a proud pig-headed @$$.

Yup.

I am very thankful for him, honestly. He's done a lot for the team. He really has. And typically the Rangers as a whole react better to tough guys like him than to the Peter Laviolette types. Just how it is.

Could definately see that. This team's 2 primary focuses:

1. Give fans heart attacks
2. Win games.

Has a Stanley CUp team ever gone to 4 game 7's before and winning it all?

I strongly believe that both the Devils and Canucks series' would not need 7 games had the Rangers just kept Gartner and Amonte.

Nope. Bruins set a record last year by winning 3 Game 7's.

Yes, everyone wants a cup, but this season has been a success to build on, win or lose.
Personally, I disagree.

As a 50 win team, with Brad Richards, Marian Gaborik, and Henrik Lundqvist, after having such a great regular season, I said if we lost before the ECF the season, while great, wasn't much of a success. Yes, it's better then what we're used to, but we've had some awful teams in the past.

After playing so well all series, it will be a choke to lose to the 7th seeded Caps like this.

No. They said on the radio tonight that no team has ever won the Cup who went to game 7s in their first two series.

VERY true, but those Flyers teams in the 80s had absolutely NO shot given their competition. No one was going to beat the Oilers. Not a chance.

And in 92 (I assume that's what you meant), I don't think anyone was going to beat the Penguins either, but that was at least a little bit possible. But doubtful, imo.

It's all I have. I am a Mets, Sixers, and Eagles fan. I don't have much usually. Just faith in a good team when I know they're good.

And I'm not making excuses, but I gotta say, I love how the Devils finish 5 spots behind us int he standings and get easier matchups.
