Bickel will barely get ice time in game 7, he is in there for the physicals, but this series team needs a spurt on offense...Lets look at how we can capitalize with speed and even through Eminger on the powerplay.

Tonight was just a massacre out there...Just unacceptable when we are not prepared on the powerplay

Eminger is an ex-cap who has always played well against them, remember he was on our second pair and one of our best d-men before separating his shoulder. He has a pretty decent shot that he usually hits the net with, I would love for him to dress over Bickel, but Torts won't do it. Bickel provides a lot on the bench, he prevents it from moving.

I love Bickel to death but I agree with OP. I'll take anything at all to help the offense.

Stu Bickel is absolutely painful to watch. He's a Mistake waiting to happen. He brings NOTHING (other than being physical the one single play since he gets only 2 shifts per game. What an absolute waste of a roster spot that dresses. And we all know he's one play away from making his next Glaring Mistake or Turnover.

I've been calling of Emmi for 3 weeks now. WTF does Torts see?

Bickel is a roughing penalty waiting to happen. I get so nervous watching him along the boards flailing his stick and arms around.

At this point in the series (and the season) Coach Tortorella should not be awarding ice time to his favorite players until the point of exhaustion/ineffectiveness and realize that he needs fresh legs for Game 7. Bickel adds a physical element to the D corps but he's becoming prone to taking an ill-advised penalty at critical junctures of the game as a result of fatigue and ground down by the Caps' grinding forecheck. Insert Eminger into the lineup and utilize him on the PP. Saturday night, it's going to be "all hands on deck" up & down the Rangers lineup and we need some jump back at the blue line. We expect Cally, Richards, and Gaborik to produce in a critical situation and the foursome of Staal, Girardi, McDonagh, and MDZ to be pillars of stability on D. But if anyone mentioned has even a slightly sub-par game, we need contributions from our bench & role players; the fresher, the better! Because rewarding ice time will become irrelevant if the Rangers lose Sat. night

Bickel was on fault for the Craps' GWG today. (**** you Chimera.)

Left his man in front of the net, went to the circles, and had the pass go through his legs, right to his guy.

Bickle has been atrocious, and yet again he was tonight.

I want eminger out there on Saturday night. I don't want Bickle, unfortunately he has been an absolute joke out there in this series.

Gotta put eminger out there torts, you gotta.

you have to trust that if torts hasn't put eminger out there yet, there's a reason.

Can Eminger be worse than Bickel? Please put Eminger in the lineup for game 7.

thats what i've been saying all along!!! He's steady eddy like Lidster was. There is no good reason whatsoever to dress Bickel over Emminger. It is just that Torts is a Stubborn F'ing Hardass Toughguy wannabe.

Dress Emmi over Stu Disaster Waiting to Happen Bickel please!!!

Not scoring goals is the ONLY reason we lost last night. Bickel could have played better no doubt, but the team STILL only gave up 2 goals. Stu is not the reason we lost.

no he's not the reason......but his indecisive play and being caught in no man's land pretty much cost us the 2nd goal

Emminger at least will be steady on D and brings a bit more offense since he has a pretty accurate shot from the point.

FIRE SATHER! Bring back Tom Renney, he never played favorites. Jagr is available.......sign him up! Torts is just a wannabe.....can him! Korpokowski, Pyatt, and Rozy are in the Conference finals! What buffoons let them go? Fire them! They shoot high glove on Lundy, fire the goalie coach! Man does this Ranger organization stink! Ya'all feel free to add to the list of Ranger incompetence.........

In Torts' own stubborn idiotic logic there probably is a reason.

Eminger was a more-than-adequate bottom pairing guy this season. At times this season he was logging 16-18 minutes a game with his average TOI being 13 minutes for the 42 games he played in.

How do you go from trusting a guy that much to not trusting him to the point you start Bickel over him?

Bickel/Eminger in the line up will not be the reason we win or lose this series.

Not being able to score goals will and neither Eminger or Bickel will play enough to have an impact in that regards either way.

even with the few screw ups I still trust Bickel more than I would eminger in a game 7

please......that's an asinine statement if i've ever heard one

This team has to score goals to win.....obviously. But when you can't even buy a goal like last night...every single little mistake can be a crucial play that decides the game, ala Bickel last night

I'm not saying we lost the game last night because of him. We lost because we couldn't create anything offensively. But that is why his mistake makes it even a harder pill to swallow. That one goal was essentially the Game Winner. That's a fact

Why bother at this point? just go with Bickel since the 6th Dman wont see much time in Game 7 anyway. Maybe throw Eminger in there for the NJ series if they get there.

NJ will want to goon it up likely so Bickel may make more sense than Eminger.

In the end they are going to play there tp 4 a ton this last game

i just want a D-man who can actually hit the net on point shots. Not that Knucklehead D*uche Zotto.

Give me McD and Stralman on the Points. I would even put Emmi at the point at this stage. Sick of watching botched plays and 10 foot wide shots from the Point men
