True story.

Also I think I forgot this last week but congrats on your namesake coming out with a new EP.

Did they? Stopped listening to them several years ago.

Thought about changing the name a few times but lazy/unmotivated...

Used to wakeboard to this every time I was on the water:

I saw TP in concert once...2 years ago I think. Not very memorable.

Edit: They weren't headlining obviously.

Ya, they weren't a very good band. Especially live where they're pretty much awful (no life). I just liked the name and started using it as a screen name at a few places and sort of stuck.

Per Anaheim's twitter: Saku Koivu signed a 1 year extension with the Ducks.

The former Wild player Alex Henry has signed a 1 year deal with a Germany club next season.

Not surprised.

Most likely.

He was an assistant captain in Hamilton though.

EDIT: Wait, he was their captain this season.

Return of the Dead Puck Era?

Built on HFBoards post

There's a little debate if it's a return to a more defensive style of hockey, or if fewer obstruction penalties are being called.

Personally I think they are letting the little sets go more than they should. Players know now to use the stick or free hand to grab a player, but they can certainly step into his lane without having to skate backwards and make "incidental contact".

Your image isn't loading correctly for me, and I haven't had a chance to read the article, but in true HFBoards fashion, I feel this makes me more than qualified to comment:

ES-G/60 has remained largely constant since the lockout. Likewise, PP-G/60 and SH-G/60 have remained nearly constant as well. The issue is that power play minutes per game have fallen off at a dramatic rate. There are a couple factors that have led to this:

1 - Players have learned what is and is not allowed, and are actually committing fewer penalties.
2 - Officiating standards for what constitutes "interference" as well as other such fouls have become less stringent.
3 - Players have found better ways to "hide" such infractions (think "Detroit style subtle interference).
4 - Due to several retirements, quality of officiating has fallen.

Well done, Patrick Kane.

Change those 10 Cent t-shirts to "Is Patrick Kane gonna have to choke a *****?"

That was a great read. Knew Kane was a quit the party dude but wow at choking the girl. Always reminds me of the scene in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest when Randell chokes Nurse Ratched.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have found their permanent head coach and signed him to a two-year deal.

The press conference will start in about 15 minutes and it will be live streaming on the CBJ website.
