Obviously you can't embellish a chest save, which is what most of them were, but some goalies really love to whip their glove hand around to get "oohs" and "Aahs" from the crowd. MAF will do this a lot. Holtby seems to be from the same school. That's all.

This. It's almost as if Torts doesn't want us to score.

The Caps style of hockey this year frustrates other teams, they rarely get caught up ice, they can't be intimidated by playing away from home. The Rangers are clearly not a superior team, they are pretty evely matched in talent, the Rangers need a quick start and grind it out for 60 minutes to win.

I disagree. I don't think the Caps are a superior team. They frustrate me to no end, but not because they are so good and talented, but more so because they're really nothing special and yet have tied the Rangers up in knots more times than I care to think about. But piece by piece they are not all that talented.

More Gaborik one timers on the PP.

Im tellin ya's, that **** ****ing works.

Most accurate shooter on the team should be shooting from the point, not getting garbage goals. Anyone can get garbage goals. Its a waste of his shot. There are other guys better at battling in front anyway.

Enlighten me please. Ive been trying to figure out from those stupid numbers who Vegas is picking for the series and I cant figure it out. Plus, I cant find the odds for game 7 anywhere.

Backstrom ( auto correct )
Last I checked in order to score most of the time shooting ia involved .
Until they start awarding goals for behind the net play
Th Caps are a much better team than the NYR and as a 5 man unit have pretty much out played us and out chances us as far as quality chances this whole series .
If we switched goalies this series would have been over long ago

Meaning if Holtby was in our net we'd be swept

I've been saying he's has alot of MAF in him since the series started. I totally agree with you.

The common thread in all those videos is Gaby getting the puck in the MIDDLE OF THE ICE BETWEEN THE CIRCLES AKA
THE HIGH SLOT
We can not get any one there because we are too busy either recovering or passing the puck to or from behind the goal line

This scheme of cycling behind the net has been a huge detriment to our offense. The dump and chase idea in general just sucks for us. We've been taking way too many perimeter shots.

Use Stralman on one PP and Gaborik on the other. Or put them on the same PP but that means Richards plays down low more. Either way, both have the best shots from the point. Richards has a great shot from out far too. We have seen it all year.

I dont want to see ****ing Del Zotto or whoever out there shooting it ****ing wide all the time.

Let Callahan and Kreider get the garbage in front.

Del Zotto is probably the best Penalty Killer we have...............against our own powerplays of course.

He's horrible at the point. Kills whatever pressure we manage to scrap up during a PP. his decision making is very slow at the point. He needs to PK'ers to be collapsing around the net for him to be effective. Putting pressure on him results in a clear. Always.

Yeah

Richards at the top of the point, Stralman on the left circle, Gaborik at the right, Kreider and Callahan battling in front.

Extra attacker, same ****, add Stepan.

MDZ needs to have his PP time limited. Maybe keep him off it all together. His shots KILL our drives. He either fires it 5 feet high and 5 feet wide and clears the puck himself or he shoots it right into the blocker who then clears it. At this point, I don't see why McD shouldn't get some PP ice time over Del Zotto.
