In the past, i would agree. However, I think this year's playoffs teaches all of us a major lesson - There are no more 'true' contender's due to the parity of today's NHL. I don't recall any players signing with Phoenix because they wanted to join a 'true contender.'

Question to put by you guys.

If you could, would you move Matt Puempel for lets say Pittsburgh's 1st Round Pick?

I know it's unlikely, just wondering...

I personally wouldn't, but I have an attachment of sorts to Puempel. Also, I doubt Murray does unless there is a play that they really want at 22, because Puempel is already a year along.

I don't see why we wouldn't do this anyway, regardless of Alfie.

Jagr snubbed me for an autograph when i was a kid. Someone else can have him.

I don't really have a favourite hf poster - it's all just a swarm of chaos and although some have really high post counts I can't say they really float to the top. I think of the HF members as Mos Eisley - you'll never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

What would a Michalek, Butler, plus package bring us in return?

I think we should keep him, regardless of what that writers trying to say I think it's good he can produce with spezza and Karlsson on the ice. Not many have this year with spezza oddly enough except for him and alfie.

His point totals this year are good enough for first line minutes on any team in the NHL, and we have a real shortage at high skilled wingers.

IMO if you MM the same amount of ice time he'd get within 10% of his annual totals no matter what line he played on. Personally i think its somewhat of a waste of a spot on Spetz's line to have him there.

I'd love to get Klein out of Nashville if they do manage to tie up Suter.

That's fine but we have no one better to play with spezza and he would be fine with Turris as well so I'm happy with him first or second line IMO.

The real problem is the only top 6 wingers we have are 9mm and Alfie. You can't really trade him without getting a good winger back or we may be in trouble offensively IMO.

We do know Spezza and Turris are down the middle and Silfverberg and Alfredsson take two other spots.

The pool gets interesting only if you start to include Zibanejad and Stone.

IF management thinks Stone could play; I could see a nice return for Michalek. By example, would a Michalek, our 1st and something (Butler type) get us Van Reimsdyk and Braydon Coburn or a Bobby Ryan
