Fedotenko was 2-0 with TB. Philly and Calgary in 04. 2-0 with Pitt in 09. Caps and Detroit. Ottawa 15 days ago. So Feds needs 1 more game 7 win this spring.
Walking in University graduation at 10 A.M. and then have a 3 hour trip home for this game. I'm almost more excited for the game than to sit through graduation. Let's freakin go!
I feel like even though the offensive system we have doesn't generate a ton of quality chances, Rick Nash would have been more apt to bury one of those few chances that we actually do have. As purely a personnel move, Rick Nash would've made a whole lot of sense. There were just other reasons why we didn't acquire him (cap hit, Columbus' ridiculous asking price).
Nobody ever said Rick Nash couldn't score goals. Sadly, his contract blows, not to mention the fact that CBJ's asking price was much too high.
I am well aware of the reason why the deal fell through, the prospects, and the contract. What I was doing with my statement and what I'm sure many Ranger fans have done while watching the 12 playoffs was to speculate the results of....
Rangers worked all season to get these final games at home. The crowd can be a HUGE factor. Rangers need to come out with energy, hit everything that moves...and hit them HARD. Thats been the single biggest noticeable difference in our game...our hitting has gone to hell. when we do it, they are usually soft. I want to see more Girardi burying Green than love taps on ovechkin. smashmouth hockey. hit, hit, hit. crash the net. make holtbys life miserable. OUTWORK THE OPPOSITION.

Inserting R. Nash and wonder what if....
Right here. Right now.
i still think, at the end of the day, Rick Nash will be a New York Ranger when the season starts next year.
@KennyAlbert
John Tortorella has coached in four Game 7's (won 3 of the 4). Final score in all four games: 2-1.
Scoring 3 goals is out of the question now. Washington won it's game 7 in Boston 2-1 in OT. Looks like it could be a race to 2 tomorrow. Let's just hope we get 2 before they do.
His state line consist of a 1.73 GAA and a .936 Save % all while playing more playoff games than any other goalie outside of Holtby. I'm really not sure what more the man can do.
Hate to say it, but Hank is pretty much going to have to post a shutout tomorrow unless our offense decides to show up. Haven't scored more than 2 goals in regulation outside of 2 games against Ottawa and game 1 against the Caps and you simply can't expect to win games like that unless your goalie completely runs away with the game. I'm hoping our offense shows up, AND Hank has a solid game.
1. Hit hard and often
2. Score first
3. No dumb Penalties
I was 2-1 in my appearances at the garden against the Sens, 1-1 in this series. Hoping history repeats tomorrow. Really hoping the blueshirts feed off the crowd and regardless of the outcome I love this frigging team. Let's go Rangers!!!
