The Development Dilemma

Not a bad take on the problem...

http://www.hockeyprospectus.com/arti...articleid=1133

Is the diversity of development leagues working against the on ice product? Is it preventing talent from being identified or developed sufficiently?

Why would you ask him that? Hockey Prospectus is a pretty popular website, I don't think they need to find shady ways of advertising it.

NHL Sponsorship

Simple bring back NHL sponsorship of developmental teams from the age of 16 onwards with appropriate opt in and opt out options, limited reserve lists and player movement conditions and restrictions.

I'd prefer the NHL adopt a system closer to what you see in the MLB, teams controlling their prospects and their development and pushing them at their own pace.
