Whale are up 1-0 in their do or die game six tonight. Nearing the end of the second period.

They look horrible in OT. Admirals have controlled puck the whole time. Passing pucks not even close to intended player.

Lucky Talbot is playing great. Go Whale!!

Whale lose. Terrible loss. They played horrible all around.

Lost game on breakaway goal. Was one hell of a series. And this guy talbot......he is really really really good.

Wow, wish I knew someone was streaming the game. Tough loss. Norfolk just too good of a team.

McIlrath and Thomas didn't play a single shift (at least that I saw) in the 3rd and OT

Erixon played probably over half of his shifts on the right side, which is good to see

Torts bring up a taxi squad last year, or was the Rangers season over before the Whale season last year?

Sonofa.............

Erixon is so skilled at stripping the puck away like Erik Karlsson, but he is very weak at getting the puck out his own end. Something that McDonagh does too and it drives me insane. Overall, this has to be a successful season for the Whale. They upset Bridgeport and we can now mock Islander fans that our youngsters in the AHL are better than theirs.

Completely agree. Was a successful season. I went to 10-15 games this season and they kept improving every single game I went to.

Also, what's better then having ANOTHER way to make fun of an islander fan.

outside of Erixon there wasnt a single player on the team for the bulk of the season that has any chance with the Rangers going forward...towards the end they got some help, but by and large this team isnt going to be of much help to the big club.

Speculation if Rangers win Game 7

If the Rangers win tonight and with CT now being eliminated - who do you think they might call up for a series vs NJ?

Erixon, Wellman, Deveaux, Newbury and Redden (is this even possible recalling Wade?) seem like the likely candidates - no?

Maybe also the 2 1st rounders as in Miller, McIllraith (for the experience, not getting any playing time) as well?

Any ideas here?

Also not saying any of these players will get ice time

Wouldn't the boards explode If the almost forgotten poster boy of Marty hate Sean Avery was recalled... Never gonna happen though... Lol

If they need a forward I think Wellman, he seemed to be scoring a lot in the last few games. If they need a defenseman, which is unlikely because Emminger would be first to step in, it would be Erixon befor McIlrath. I dont think we'll ever see Redden or Avery in a Rangers uniform again.

Only way we'd see Redden is if we suffered multiple injuries to top guys. If Staal, Girardi and McDonagh were all out, we'd see Redden. Imagine he comes in and scores the cup winning goal for us one day as an injury call-up? I think that would bump a "Does Wade Redden need to redeem himself?" thread. Hahahahaha

Redden is not good, even in the AHL. Guys regularly blow past him.

Can't they bring guys along for the ride anyway? Would do Erixon good to practice with the team and heck maybe they throw him in for Bickel instead of Eminger. Atleast Erixon has been playing

Upfront I imagine Wellman and Newbury come along for the ride atleast but Zuke is the first F in the lineup if someone gets hurt. Assuming he is healthy and Dubi is out long term

yea the guys that were added late and now for next yr are key. McIlrath, Miller, Thomas, Hrvik.........JAM likely gets signed.......Erixon I expect on the Rangers next yr.

Other than that Thurresson and Wellman are back. Newbury, Deveaux are UFA but I wont be surprised to see them resign

Erixon, Newbury, Deveaux, Wellman, Miller, Mcilrath, Thomas. Maybe only have Erixon and one forward skate with the team practice if it'll be too crowded.
