Boston Bruins Hotels on the Road

Boston Bruins Hotels

Thought I would share this link for the Bruins fans that follow the squad on the road to other divisional cities.

I am pretty sure they stay at 5 star hotels uness there aren't any...so Holiday Inn would be a surprise to me.

The arena in "Ottawa" seemed like it was in the middle of nowhere to me. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they just stayed a night at the Holiday Inn down the street.

Per the CBA, they HAVE to stay at a 5 star hotel unless there is not one available. I wouldn't be surprised if the players waived that clause in Ottawa just to be right next to the arena for convenience, but it's in the CBA.

Edit: Yeah, this is a bit creepy. When my buddy was in town playing the Bruins a few years back, we picked him up the Ritz near Tremont, and they have a roped off area for fans outside to wait for players to get autographs. It was really strange to me.

Not much going on in Kanata

Funny thing is that when the Bruins played in Hartford, they actually used to stay at the Sheraton in Springfield. My uncle who made me the hockey nut I am today used to go hang out with the players in the bar.

Back in 06, I went to Montreal and stayed at the Marriott Chateau Champlain...At about 5pm on friday afternoon (game was saturday), we by chance were leaving to go to Dinner when the Bruins team bus arrived, I didn't realize that they were staying at the same hotel.

The next morning, most of them were eating breakfast at the same time we were. Funny thing was that Marco Sturm had missed a game or two before that with the flu, so he was at a table by himself.

I've heard of a couple of teams staying at the Brookstreet Hotel.

Scotiabank Place is in Kanata...it's not conveniently located at all.

It's all about respect - a friend and I used to stay at the same hotel as our favorite teams when we went to games. We would never ask for autographs or photos - just looking at the eye candy. Our game was 'lobby rats' - we would hang out in the hotel lobby no matter what the time waiting for the bus to arrive. We were quiet, kept our distance and spent many a great hour just talking between the two of us. Played 'guess who that is' as the players came in from the bus.

The eye candy was phenomenal - good times.
