Thank god the Knicks are done...I don't know about you people but I am glad we are facing NJ...because this will take over and dominate the city...and it will be oh so nice to see hockey finally get its rightful turn in the spotlight.

Oh and nice to beat the Caps for once!

Torts - loved that he really was playing a lot of the guys. up and down the lines. Really bizarre Bickel got 3 minutes though. I hope he is back against the Devils or at the very least, Eminger is good to go. Playing 5 guys seems unsustainable for two more series. But Kreider playing in the last two minutes on the shift before the top line finished the game. excellent.

also, I felt like all the linesmen calls this game really went in our favor. Off sides mostly going in our favor. A lucky bounce here and there to get the puck out of the zone. Botched Boyle goal? but so ****ing stoked!

If I were Stan Fischler I'd be afraid that Maloney is going to take over his identity.

I'll be curious for people when they get back, but it sounded to me to be a very quiet crowd all game long.
Wondering if it was the ticket prices or the nerves, but much quieter it seemed than Ottawa.

Also it looked like there was way too much Red in the crowd.

Will they silence themselves, or will they just become more rabid and stupid about how the Rangers are not very good.

I guess it will be the latter. So many really dumb ****ers out there.

Learning

Here's my quote from March 7th:

"We have yet to "learn" to be a playoff team.

First round is critical. My personal feeling is that winning a 7-game war in the first round with a team like the devils or pens will galvanize our playoff mentality."

I think we have learned a lot...

Someone mentioned this recently, but DZ doesn't shoot to get the puck on net, he shoots to score, which results in shooting for small areas & corners. If not 100% accurate, it goes wide.

It really was a lifetime ago. My life is nothing like it was 15 years ago, and I sure 90% of this board can say the same. Half the board went from kindergarten to adulthood, and the other half went through marriages/divorces and career changes.

Feels so good to finally beat the Caps. I thought Richards, Anisimov and Feds were our best forwards tonight and Staal and McD were our best defensemen. Staal played an AMAZING game.
