Rangers in 5.

Devils havent played against above average goaltending and elite defense in over a month.

They're in for a struggle.

a defensive Florida team nearly finished NJ. I think we'll get to marty.
we know him. Holtby had the luxury of being a mystery.

Rangers in 6.

Can somebody explain to me the Devils defense.

I know Larsson is a young rookie, and Zidlicky is an old, puck moving defenseman, and Volkencov is a physical defenseman.

I thought Salvador was a depth defensemen, and know little of Greene and Fayne.
Do they Devils have a legit 1 and 2 defenseman?

Not trolling, just honest.

Saw a lot of Zidlicky when I lived in ND and watched Wild games. He reminds me of a forward playing point on the PP. He can be muscled off the puck by guys like Stepan, Boyle, Prust, etc. But he can also be dangerous with it in the offensive zone, almost like a poor man's Zubov.

I am getting tired of the media nonsense about no team having gone 7 games in the first two rounds ever winning a cup.

Here is the history of all teams that have gone 7 games in the first two rounds:

Chicago 90 lost 4-1 Edmonton
Toronto 93 lost 4-3 Kings
Toronto & Clorado 2002 lost 4-2 and 4-3 Carolina and Detroit
Minnesota 2003. Swept by Anaheim
Carolina 2009 swept by Pittsburgh
Montral 2010 Lost 4-1 Philly

In just about all of these instances, the better team won.
Even in caes where the team with fewer points won, one could argue they were the better team anyway.
Perhaps Toronto losing in 2002 was an upset. The others, no.

This is simply a stat for stats sake; completely meaningless.

**** the Devils...Must turn around fast here and go at it again with full intensity.

It is hard when you play such a tough 7 game series, but it has to be emphasized

This year's Games 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 all scheduled for same dates as corresponding games in 1994 ECF between Devils and Rangers.

I don't make predictions.... But I will share this experience with you as a matter of fact... Got a special 'vibe' during the game that the Rangers will win it all this year.... Do with that what you want.

Time is cyclical... Don't be surprised if the Rangers/Devils series goes 7 games and you know what happens then.

Hopefully our offense has a little more space and time in this series. I hope that we see some games where the Rangers score more than 2 goals

I CANNOT WAIT!!!! Boys im so beyond pumped up right now like many of you are, as long as we have suffered we deserve this. It has been a struggle for us to get back to the ECF, It won't end there.

Thinking of buying tickets for a game 6 in NJ, anybody else down?
