That explanation is crap. The overhead view clearly shows Wideman was the one who knocked over Holtby. Boyle's skate BARELY touched him. The NHL is just using that as an excuse for more poor officiating.

Exactly. The world isn't against us.

Same thing that happened when Neil kicked it in. Doesn't matter. All that matters is that we won.

definetly a goal. pretty disgusted that wasn't reviewed. I don't get it?
Caps player put that in his own net! should have been reviewed and allowed.

Just to ask the question again, does it even look like Boyle touched Holtby? I looked at the replay and did not see that contact.

Let's face it, even if Boyle had grazed Holtby, it is not that contact that made any difference, it is the Capitals defenceman.

How ridiculously stupid are NHL officials, I wonder. Seems like they just don't get it.

But I saw that they could not review it because of the "Intent to blow whistle" rule.

Boyle's skate hit Holby which drove it/him into the net (I guess). Leetch also agreed with the ref.

The Sens and Caps are teams that have always seem to have our number (especially the ******* Caps) The Devils will be the easiest series we've had. Big deal that they beat up on a team from Florida, then they beat Ilya "I am made of Swiss cheese" Bryzgalov. Let's do this. Can it just be Monday already?

Why do you think they have a bias against rangers?? I understand we have had more then a few bad call against us. But wouldn't you think that we would be favored by the refs, why wouldnt the NHL want a New York team in their finals??? Huge market, bigger ratings

the devils definetly had easier teams than we did. I mean the panthers gave them trouble but the flyers looked like they didnt even belong in the playoffs

At 11:32 of the third period in the Rangers/Capitals game, the puck entered the Capitals net. The referee ruled that Braden Holtby made the original save and then the puck entered the net when Brian Boyle's right skate made contact with Holtby resulting in goaltender interference, therefore there was no goal. This was not a reviewable play. Referee's call on the ice stands No Goal New York.

hmm.... this doesn't make any sense. how can they call it interference and not call a penalty? this should've been reviewed. another instance of the rangers getting screwed for ratings.

Amazing game.

Refs were perfect tonight aside from the Boyle incident. Lundqvist was in God mode. Richards, Hagelin, Gaborik...awesome. Just a perfect game. Awesome night overall for me, saw the Avengers today, which was amazing.

You can have incidental contact where the goal is waived off, but there is no penalty because it was a hockey play, not an attempt to run the goalie.

Not for nothing but we had a few where Henke was pushed in with the puck and it was blown dead in the last 2 series

league sued the rangers a few years ago... so quick to forget. the rangers are the most recent team to fire campbell too. cba issues as well from what i hear. torts is an issue. avery was an issue. league does not like new york regardless of ratings. torts screaming at the refs this game def added to the ref bias. this was a terrible call. refs should be making the call that can be reviewed when a penalty isn't being assessed. bad move. clear bias. can't even see it being arguable.

enjoy the win, but this call was another joke.

1. Hank
2. Richards
3. Del Zotto
4. The rest of the team
5. Redden

Thank you Mr. Redden. Your hit on the salary cap may have stopped a possible trade that lead to a washed up player and kept this team in tact.

Agree about the refs. I'm fine with sending them to the next round.
