its hank...richards was awesome and clutch and along with gaborik was the only guy who could score. BUT it was the play of lundqvist that allowed us to advance despite only have 2 guys that could score

1.66 gaa, .927 save%

held the caps to just 1 goal in 3 of the 4 wins.

richards' heroics never happen if it wasn't for hank being hank. the fact that people aren't picking him shows that we are spoiled by how good he is that now when he does it its not a big deal.

Richards without question. Followed closely by Lundqvist.

Braaaadddd Richards hands down. Insurance goal in game 1, the first goal when down 2-0 to start the comeback from 2-0 to 2-2, primary assist on GWG in game 3, most ice time among forwards and second most ice time of all players except for Staal who had a minute more in game 4. Game tie goal and game winning presence in game 5, weakest but still a good game in game 6 and the all important and the "could not be emphasized more" 1st goal of the game in game 7.

Henrik was fantastic but to be the best forward every night and do what we've struggled to do for many years now, Richie is the MVP against WSH

i just ran Henriks numbers and I came up with a .932 sv% in this series. BTW in case you were curious i came up with a .924 for Uncle Daddys save % against the Flyers....the Flyers who didn't have Giroux for 1 game, and who couldn't really muster up any quality scoring chances.

Brodeur hasn't really been good at all in these playoffs, who have been good are the Devils forecheckers. Theyve been effing spectacular.

Brodeur's been decent, nothing special, but average at least. Just goes to show how much the team around you matters, too. All these years us Rangers fans have been backing up Hank when he's been labeled a choker for the team's playoff failures, when we tried and say he never had the team to make a run. Now look, what is this, the first legit and his best team around him his career, and look, ECF.

Anyways, this series it's close between Hank and Richards. I'll go with Richards just for the lack of scoring this team has had.

to be honest, i think every team we've played so far has had superior talent to us. we've won because of Henrik, Brad Richards, and John Tortorella.

Richards and/or Lundqvist.

After that Staal, McDonagh, Girardi and Del Zotto. Honorable mention to Gaborik and Callahan. It took Marian some time to get going but he seems completely engaged now.

MDZ has been making some nice plays. Series winning goal--that's a huge thing.

I think our defense has a lot to do with it, too. Especially Staal and McD.

They're playing like they did before the all-star break right now.

You left out a word, because this team is as good as it gets in goal, and matches up with any team in the league on the blueline. And, to be honest, seriously look at the comparison between the Caps forwards and the Ranger forwards. The Caps have have three of the top five offensively talented forwards - Ovechkin, Semin and Backstrom - but, after that, I'm not seeing a whole lot of difference There's not this great disparity that you claiming there is. Plus, the Rangers are much younger, with Stepan, Kreider, Anisimov and Hagelin all no more than three years of experience, as compared to Marcus Johansson.

Thats how I would put them in order as well. Richards, I mean what can you say. He is doing EXACTLY what he was brought in for. Big time goals, leadership, and keeping everything calm. I just wish he could get something going on the PP, but I dunno if anything can help at this point.

Henrik. No explanation needed.

Staal has just looked like himself from previous years. Very solid defensively and in the right spots. Also, can't forget his game winner in OT.
