All the players looked so quiet tonight. Very different tone to this game compared to the preceeding games. The hitting was toned down too as nobody wanted to be caught flatfooted while a play developed right behind them.
Very careful about things. That level of concentration will probably lessen and lighten for the first game against dem Debils, and then a new focus will develop.

It is simply amazing what this team has accomplished this season.

I just did a little reality check and realignment on myself. Simply amazing what the Rangers are doing.

The Devils are going to be really hard.

Despite that, during tonight's handshake was the first time I heard the MSG crowd chant "We Want The Cup" since I was a teenager in 1994. I got chills. When my wife asked me what the crowd was saying, I had to pause for a moment and choke back some unexpected emotion. I'm really proud of this team no matter what happens next.

And I'll live out this fantasy, and I'll live out this fantasy....

Wow. After a average 1st period, the Rangers had a good 2nd and a great 3rd. Weak weak goal by Lundqvist but he was great otherwise. You can truly tell when the Rangers are in control when the defenseman are stepping up and intercepting offensive passes by the opposition. That's their bread and butter.

My one complaint remains this team to capitalize on momentum. It's almost sad how they don't get an emotional rush from scoring a goal. They are pinned in their own zone 90% of the time after they score a goal, it's just weird.

PoTG: Richards had a dreadful regular season, but my god he's a man amongst boys out there right now. A force, you can see the experience.

Good: Hank, the defense, most of the forwards.

Bad: Thought Kreider had a bad game.

Redden: **** John "Hammerhead Shark" Carlson. I hate him more then nearly every other player in the league. Piece of ****, and I grew up playing against him, just hate him.

Not enough people are mentioning the 11-4 shot advantage in the 3rd. I know they scored and the goals were only 1-1 but that was dominating of a performance by a team AHEAD in a big game like this as I can remember. Usually the shots would be flipped in an elimination game when a team is behind.

Could not agree more. How many times have we seen this team ahead by one goal late in a game, pinned in the defensive zone with extremely tired players diving in front of shots hoping to get the puck deflected up into the netting so that we can change lines? Tonight they played defense by eating up the clock in the offensive zone. The coaching staff had a real breakthrough in preparing for game 7. They killed it in both tactics and motivation.

I feel pretty confident in the next series, I know it's going to be a tough series and the Devils are much more rested...but Lundqvist owns Brodeur, the offense just seems to come alive against Marty.

Don't underestimate Fatso ,keeping the dump in off his stick is the key to this series . If Fatso is able to be a 3 rd D Man back there we are going to have fits establishing a down low game and NJD is a very very good transitional team who loves to score on the rush and have a pretty intense fore check themselves .
Good news is , Kovalchuk hasn't been hit like We going to hit him and ia dinged up , same goes for Zidlicky

Stolen from facebook :

A guy walks into a bar and asks the bartender for an Ovechkin. Bartender asks "What is an Ovechkin?" The patron replies, "An Ovechkin is a White Russian, but without the Cup."

Bring on the Devils!!!

Boyle SH goal should have counted. Should have been 3-1--not that it matters a whole lot now.

Thinking that with the Connecticut AHL team done--Rangers will probably call up a few to practice with the team. Not Redden though. ----Erixon, McIlrath, Thomas, Miller, Newbury, Wellman, Deveaux, Talbot--also extend invitations to Hrivik and JAM to take part in the behind the scenes stuff. Want them to sign--give them an experience.

interesting...the rangers #1 seed have taken out #8, #7...and now play #6...in the west LA has taken out #1, #2...and now play #3....

melrose was on nhl network eating his own words that the caps would win game 7 and then went on to say he will find it hard for any team to beat the rangers if the rangers play this way and especially for jersey if the rangers can string together 4 or 5 back to back to back games playing as they did in game 7 lol...melrose is an interesting cat...i wonder how he was as a coach lol

Kudos to Caps. This was one tough series. Caps had 2 heart breaking losses and yet they kept on coming back.

Bring on Devils.

Richie = Money Player, Cally killed about 3 of the last 6 minutes himself, Dan Girardi and Marc Staal were amazing, and of course Hank was Hank...by the way after the game they compared the two Captains and showed all the plays Cally made yesterday and all the plays Ovie didn't make...

I really felt confident going in to the game yesterday, I thought we would win 2-0, and we should have, it was a fluke goal, but who cares...
