Which player would you steal from Capitals and why?

Stole this idea from the capitals forum.

John Carlson. then our D is completely stacked. kid's good and he scores clutch goals. forward, probably Jason Chimera. i've liked the guy since his Columbus days.

Is cap hit part of this equation? If not, Ovechkin. If yes, Backstrom.

Obviously Ovechkin, but if I had to choose someone else I'd take Mike Green (assuming he returns to 70 point form).

Backstrom > Ovechkin.

Nobody misses more shots wide or flubs more one-timers than Ovechkin. Never seen anyone who was as highly touted MISS so many open shots. He's a volume shooter. He needs to take 10 shots to even have 5 hit the net and hope that one goes in. He's the hockey equivalent of Carmelo Anthony. I'd much rather have Backstrom.

Backstrom up front. He seemed like he was everywhere during the series and I was always more worried about him on the ice than Ovie.

I laugh at some who say Ovechkin. The guy hasn't won jack ****. He's a lazy ****. Just look at Del Zotto's goal tonight. Guy has no heart.

LOL. Brings what? The only thing he might bring every night are the clubs and tees to the golf course.

I'm surprised by how many people aren't replying Ovie (assuming we're not caring about cap hit).

Ovie-Richards-Gabby... that line would be the best in the NHL hands down.

Who gives a crap if he hasn't won anything? Ray Bourque didn't win jack till his last year. does that mean he's a loser? No heart? The guy has 59 points in 51 career playoff games...i think they said he's the quickest guy to 30 career playoff goals other than Joe Sakic.

He was the only guy on the Caps roster that was a consistent threat. Caps problems were NOT that AO wasnt playing well..its that, besides AO, Backstrom and Chimera the rest of their roster was completely shut down.

Becausing adding Backstrom would add a more unpredictable and just as effective offense, while adding elite defensive play. Rather have two dominant lines than one mega line.
