Henrik Lundqvist Appreciation Thread

Yeah, thread seems dumb consider 99% do (besides some, not going to name names lol) But, let's all remember all the people who had called Hank a choker in previous years for not getting it done in the playoffs. All us Rangers fans (well most) backed him up saying how he never had the supporting cast to do so, and was playing behind terrible offenses (as he's still somewhat doing now) and mediocre-average defenses. Now look, he finally has a legit supporting cast around him and elite D, and he's been the main factor in leading this team to the #1 overall seed and ECF with a .937 SV% and 1.68 GAA.

Anyone who called Hank a choker is an idiot. Wouldn't expect anything else from the main boards. Hank is the best in the league and the biggest reason we're in the position we are.

Exactly. Is not getting 16 shutouts considered "choking"? Cause that's what it would have taken to win with the pathetic offense he's had in front of him the last few years.

Yup, people were, even some Rangers fans.

All those "Why doesn't Hank get criticism like Luongo?" threads.

Seriously?! Is every 4th line scrub going to get an appreciation thread now?

Next time someone bashes Hank, I will bash their face in ... with my fist. He has carried this team on his back for YEARS. IMHO, he deserves a pass ... heck a few. Even if he has a few bad games I can not get on him for all the work he has done since he came in the league. It is about time we bailed him out and started racking up goals for easy wins.

I thought he was better against the Sens. Though he faced a lot of tough shots and made tough saves. However he gave up more soft goals than in the first round. He was excellent yesterday.

Maybe they're right, in 49 career playoff games he has 0 goals. Choke artist for sure.

pffft, the offense has carried the team. 2.07 g/g should be just fine for even the mediocre-est of goalies to get through the first two series.

Rangers would have swept both series if it wasn't for all of those softies.

Anyone that called him a choker before is an idiot. Every team he took to the playoffs before was either bad or mediocre, and the only reason those teams made it to the playoffs was because of him to begin with. It's no surprise that with a good team he's taking us to the ECF.

Hail to the king, baby!

When the Rangers went up 2-0 last night I turned to my daughter who was at the game with me and said game over as Lundqvist will not give up 3 goals tonite. I have been saying that a lot this year!
