Most Yotes fans are basically not willing to talk about Yandle, OEL or Gormley at this point. Other defensemen could be pried out of Phoenix, but there's no reason for Phoenix to do it, so the offer would have to be significant. The Yotes are in a great position going forward if the ownership issue is really settled. Maloney has said that he has contracts lined up for Whitney, Doan and Aucoin to return next year as soon as the ownership is finalized. So they will only look to replace Pyatt and Langkow and will have about $5M to do it with while maintaining the same level budget as this year, which a new owner may want to increase.

I would consider Klesla for MPS, but Klesla has been amazing this year, well beyond his payrate and my expectations.

I'd maybe consider moving Schlemko too, because he's running out of playing time with the other prospects hitting NHL readiness.

How quickly MPS went from untouchable to trade bait.

Not in this lifetime....Petry is already better than Gormley. The Oil would be silly to consider something like that.

Petry looks like he's going to be good D, but he doesn't have the potential of Gormley.

These made me lol. Gormley's value is higher. Petry is 24 having his 1st good season. Gormley is 19 getting ready to step in next season.

Seriously, to get something good you have to offer something.

Whomever changed to Rundblad are on the right track. I'm sure Phoenix is more willing to deal him and he won't cost an arm and a leg.

He needs to put on some size and muscle for that to happen, he's still at least a year away, best bet would be 2yrs

you oiler fans still dont get it, why would a final four team like phoenix or the rangers, or devils for that matter trade a great prospect for your spare parts?

they are a final four team because they have roster depth, and the oilers Have the 1st pick because you dont, those teams dont need 3 or 4 of your spare parts, the only thing they might be interested in is getting one of your better players for 3 or 4 of their assets.

there is a reason they are where they are and the oilers are where they are,

The reason would be more talent for the forward position. We need it.

I'd say a deal including the 2012 1st overall would be a good reason.

Not a chance.

OEL's play and (cheap) contract are exactly what the ca$h strapped Yotes need at that position. Nail is a top prospect but OEL has shown his play in the NHL. Unless The Oil adds to the trade I don't see GMDM even giving it a thought.

Sorry to break it to you, but Yakupov would also be on an elc, thus being cheap as well.
