No need to get mad if someone doesn't share your opinions. And why are you bringing Rinne in to this?

1. Quick
2. Lundqvist
3. Brodeur
4. The Roaming Goalie

This is based on current ability. The experience that Brodeur has could come into play and change things/

Relevance. This post has none.

Smith > Lundquist > Quick > Brodeur

S/L/Q could really go either way, but imo Quick has the best team in front of him whereas Smith has the worst.

Mad? I just find it funny how you take any chance you get to trash Lundqvist. You even started a new thread just to let everyone know that "Holtby won against Lunqvist but Rangers was the better team!!!" and you are probably the only person in here who ranks him below Brodeur.

No I'm not. And Lunqvist is welcome to prove me wrong. I am not trashing him I just think the others are doing better/at least as good as Lunqvist with less(I think Rangers are the best team of the four). Also Lunqvist is probably going to win Vezina this year as he deserves to.

Don't be ridiculous.. What have Smith and Quick proven that Lundqvist hasn't? And Brodeur the last couple of seasons. Anyway, I'm off to bed. Good night

I'm solely ranking them on how they have played in the playoffs (this year). With last couple of season it would be

Lunqvist
Quick
Brodeu
Smith

EV SV% - this postseason:
1. Smith .949
2. Quick .948
3. Brodeur .947
4. Lundqvist .946

Close call, particularly if the special teams decide to play along and be nice.

It happened more than you might think, especially in the Finals. Most people gave Mike Vernon the edge in '95, mostly on experience. In '00, he went up against defending-champ Eddie Belfour. In '01, he faced arguably the best of all-time in Patrick Roy. In '03, Giguere won the Conn Smythe.

Not sure if it's relevant or not, but in an article today on nhl.com, Brodeur said Lundqvist was the best in the league right now.

"Even [if] I would have found the secret, I doubt I would tell you guys," Brodeur said. "But I didn't. All the adjustments, I'm sure he does the same thing. You don't become top goalie in the League by just putting your pads on and going out to play. You need to be smart about what you do and have to learn the players that you play against, the system you play against."

http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=6...id=DL|NHL|home

I'd rank them like this:

1). Quick / Lundqvist
2). Smith / Brodeur

I have a feeling that Smith might start to come a little undone this series and Marty might start to show his age.

This is where I'm at. Could be because as a Sharks' fan I don't have Quick on a pedestal, but his team has really bailed him out many times and they are playing awesome in front of him. The Yotes are getting smashed night in and night out, Smith is keeping them in it. The Rangers as a team are far better than the Yotes and while they are not blowing teams off the ice like the Kings, they are at least playing the other team even-up most times.

Lundqvist should be number 1, without him we lose. Every single game was won or lost by a goal or 2 on low scoring games. Could of easily lost in the first round without Hank.

Smith has been great and just about the same about Lundqvist. They don't have the best team out there with any big names on that team, he's getting the job done!

Quick has been awesome, and will be the #1 goalie in the future, kid is so friggin good. Although he has the best team in the final 4.

Marty has been playing like Marty, but some games he plays like he's 40 (hoping he plays like that this series ) Nevertheless he's been great for the devils.
Smith has been more important to his team than Lundqvist has to his this post season. Not sure why you're putting the Rangers in the same category as Pheonix.

heard that since game 1 round 1

that being said some of martys quotes lately i think he would rank himself 4th these days; not a knock on himself but giving props where they are due

he could do that in the cup finals, one of them being a game 7, and the conn smythe would still go to the other team's goaltender... oops still bitter i suppose
