I'm Canadian, but I have to say I think Team USA has a great chance at winning gold in Sochi (if the NHL allows its players to participate).

Most of my favorite players right now are American; Callahan, Parise, Backes, Kessel, Kesler (except for his damn diving nonsense), JJohnson, Suter -- and then you've got the slew of excellent American goaltenders (Quick, Thomas, Miller, Howard, etc.)

I think it will also be good for the marketability of hockey in the US if there are more homegrown players on the teams -- especially when they're core players and captains.

The big surface will kill us IMO. I think one of the Euro teams take it in Socchi. I'm gonna say Sweden.

Callahan has topped 20 goals three times and 50 points once and his career highs are 29 and 54.

Brown has topped 20 goals and 50 points for 5 straight seasons with career highs of 33 and 60.

Nothing against Callahan, but to say he's had a better career than Brown thus far is silly.

I don't think Zach even knows what diving is He could draw so many penalties if he flopped like many players in the league now do. I just don't think he even considers it.

a lot of young upcoming talent in the NHL is American. Great for the sport. They are doing a great job developing players in the states.

Well, there was something like an e4 Brown to the Rangers rumor at the deadline, and it's pretty obvious at this point that the Rangers will sign Parise soooooo...
