Quick wasn't great, but in the third period he shut the door when they needed him. With a week off, he could've been rusty and I think he'll shake it off for the next game.

Does anyone else feel that Willie is the greatest signing by Deano?

Dustin Brown is the best player in the current NHL.
Kopitar has been even better on both ends than Brown in my opinion. In any case when you have a line playing like the first currently is, that's a scary thought for the opposition. They're totally dominant.

If it didn't happen in 1993, it's happening in 2012.

Yes, but Scuds has been strong too. Not as flashy.

I don't disagree with how good Kopitar is. he is a superstar as well. DB's energy is what pushes him and the team though.

Great line

Here's the weird thing. I never got a sense that the Kings were in danger of losing the game. The weirder thing is that it's not the first time I felt it this playoffs. The Kings were just in complete control.

Was Chris Kontos not a rookie when he went on his tear? His hat trick game was my first game.

I did.

It had that feel that one team is dominating but the other team is taking advantage of their very few opportunities.

Scary game. I relaxed only when King of Kings buried the EN.

It is pretty funny that Lewis is still playing while Giroux is on his couch.

Hats off to the Kings tonight for an excellent job, especially in the shots and faceoffs department in Game 1. Looking forward to Game 2.

Nah he wasn't a rookie then. He was 25 with about 5 seasons of pro experience when he went on his John Druce like tear.

Doan hits high a lot. If he was playing for the Kings, he would have had three penalties.

I'd like to see Nolan tee off on him.

Tippett was getting all testy in the press conference. Blaming his players for a lot.

Didn't want to talk about Kopitar.
