Is it bad to root for the devils to win 3 games? My friend and I really want to go to game 7.. i have 2 single seats. He hasn't been to a playoff game at the garden yet and would fly up just for that.

Welp, looks like prices are going to dump for tonight. Probably the best game of the series if you're on a budget. There's an extra hour for an 8pm start tonight so that should help with more time to sell, but on the flip side it's harder for people to go there straight from work like for a 7pm game so demand is lower on Monday night
2100 tickets right now on Stubhub with 9 hours to go, that means they have to sell at a rate of 233 tickets per hour to clear which isn't going to happen at these prices so prices will crunch. I'm guessing we'll see seats for around low $100s but would be surprised to see double digits

same thing happened with the caps series. such a quick turnaround from game 7, and for most people there is a limit to how much they can spend for tickets. If they blew their wads on first 2 rounds, then that will lessen demand for this round.

As a Rags fan it pains me to tell you how jealous I am of you guys trying to take care of your own instead of the gouging going on over in our ticket thread. Well done. That being said I hate you all.
If you want to pissed then you only have to look at Jim Dolan. The Devils gave their season ticket holders high availability presales with a big ticket limit, and a UNIQUE CODE that could not be shared with anyone. So STHs had a bunch of extra seats that they could offer to only fellow devil "fans". The Rangers give some generic BS code like "RANGERS" that everyone and their mother knows.
Then you're forgetting the fact that Devils season tickets are pretty cheap, nobody has to take out a mortgage to buy those. At MSG they are hella expensive, and in a typical year STHs lose money on a bunch of games and eat a bunch more. If you don't make up those loses somehow then you won't be a season ticket holder for very long. I don't see other people "taking care of their own" by paying at least face for a coyotes game on a monday night, they pay whatever they're worth in the market.

There was a major flaw and loophole with that system. Myself, and many others on this board, found it and were able to share access of the code.
