Not impressed with the Devils GDT

1. Brandon Dubinsky isn't playing
2. We call Ruchards Beaver, so it's not an insult
3. For "where?" they put a picture of newark

Why would anyone care what's in the Devil GDT?

Like Antithesis and Tony, I'm expecting an absolute dog fight that's too close to call before a minute of hockey has been played. The size if the rivalry alone is enough for me to pretty ignore the statistical breakdowns. It's like looking at the Islanders place in the standings during the season and expecting to walk away with easy wins against them. It just doesn't work that way when there is this much history and hatred between 2 teams.

Nervous excitement right now.

Exactly. This series is going to be a war. Like I said, if we get out of it in 6, I'll consider that gravy..if for any reason, the wife won't be here while I'm jumping up and down screaming!

SO.

FREAKING.

PUMPED.

LET'S GO RANGERS!!!!

How about a marching band coming on the ice after every win?

Besides they'll be so many NYR fans at the Rock it'll be like home ice advantage all series long.

NJ is playing very well and this will be a great series. we're going to need some players to step up here!

Rupp, Feds, Stepan, even Prust has to do better
AA needs to more noticable
Gaborik desperately needs to breakout now.

Haha..no kidding!! It'll be easier for her. She's not friends with a lot of Rangers fans. She barely sees my best friend or my dad or sister. I have to deal with her whole family, whom I see all the time, and her Devils fans friends, many of whom I'm friends with as well.

Will say this though, IF we lose, I'd almost rather it be in 6. So I won't have to see HER celebration!

I would totally luv it if it becomes necessary that John Scott dresses for at least one game this series, that would signify what a brutal dogfight the series must have become... LGR !!!

Bit frightening but really don't think it means anything in the end. This team has shown resiliency throughout the regular season and the playoffs.

After going 7 games in the two series prior to conference finals, teams never won the conference finals. Happened 38 times...

That's an INSANE stat. Although 7 game series don't matter as much these days in the new NHL with the conditioning, and obviously has no magical barring on the outcome of the series, it's still ridiculous that it's 0-38 for those teams.

The 0 for 38 is an intimidating stat for sure, but the games are played for a reason. I doubt the Rangers are as concerned about it as we are.

Boston didn't exactly have an "easy" or short way to the Cup last year. Didn't 3/4 of their series' go the distance? This is where Torts preseason hell will pay off conditioning wise. Rangers in 5, sweep the first 2 at home, lose Game 3 to give Jersey some false hope, win Game 4 and shut their 3 fans up, then wrap this up at home in Game 5. Then we get ready for a war in the Finals against LA.

NY - LA in the Finals, two biggest media markets in the U.S., NHL better be up for that kind of series.

Haha..ok, first of all..I thought your name was Mr. Erection.

As far as the house dyanamic..for now, we're going to watch the series together in the same room. And yes, I do have the couch and pillows ready to go..but if we stick to these rules, we should get through this..hopefully!

the thing with that 0-38 stat is that this team is a VERY young team, an older team with way more veterans would get beaten up a lot easier imo. Us being young is a HUGE advantage

Mental and physical fatigue is no joke. Stat is impressive, but you have Lundqvist.

Funniest. Thing. I've. Ever. Heard.
