Well, the devils do have one shot in the third.

And that jets fan on the main board says the kings are the worst team in the playoffs and are ruining the NHL with their "boring" hockey.

It's bad when the highlights are the commercials for the Kings game tomorrow.

Obviously I'm biased but the 2 man forechecking the Kings are running consistently is a thing of beauty to watch. I cant believe how they can do it all game long and hardly ever give up odd man rushes the other way. Very little neutral zone play. Long stretches of sustained pressure. "Boring" is the last word I'd use to describe the "new" Kings.

It's funny how other fans were *****ing at our games being boring. This is a snooze fest, and after looking like the better team for most of the game, the Devils look shaken.

Might not been such an easy series after all.

One shot still for the devils in ten minutes and they just took a penalty.

NY PP coming up.

God MSG has **** for visuals. The crowd is in the dark and away from the glass. Lighting for the ice isn't great in the end zones either.

Watching a game televised at Staples and it's night and day. The ice is brightly lit and you can actually see the fans! What a concept!

What a lucky effing game for the Rags. Outplayed but pull it out. The Devils lost their cool and it's all mental toughness from now on.

New Jersey looks like a team that is scared. They have had no scoring chances in the third and cannot connect with any passes. Zach Parise should strongly consider signing with the Kings on July 1.

It's game one. I think we have a better chance at signing Semin rather than Parise. I see him re-signing with NJ or staying east, honestly.

Kovalchuk is a floating pos. The guy's not moving his feet, icing on a PP.....looks like he'd rather be golfing. Not impressed.

How the hell does a team who is trailing have 3 shots through 17 minutes in the 3rd in a conference final? Embarrassing for NJ.

Yeah, leaves a lot to be desired. Plus, this might be unfair to him, but I'm looking at Parise and expecting him to be Brown-like with the kind of impact he should have in a game, and it's just not there. I'm more impressed with Henrique, honestly.

I'm guessing the devils board is back into melt down mode.

3-0 rangers.

NHL is happy with the first game of each series.

A little off-topic, but did they finish renovating MSG yet?

Pretty bad for New Jersey. They are going to need a considerably change moving forward. Hopefully they come back because a sweep would be just what the Rangers needed.

I know the new locker rooms were done before the season started.

Edit* It looks like they are doing it in phases over the next few seasons.

They kind of remind me of Phoenix in the sense that they depend a lot on their goaltending and defense to win games and tend to sit back and wait to capitalize on mistakes.

i.e. Terry Murray hockey.

It's like Sutter looked at all the teams in the playoffs and said "hey, if we aggressively forecheck, we have a chance at beating these teams".

I love Sutter's style. Don't wait for mistakes and sit around until an opportunity pops itself, go out there and force mistakes and opportunities with a relentless forecheck. It's like night and day.

I don't get people who say that either east team will stomp all over the Yotes or the Kings. Seriously, nothing about either of these teams has impressed me.
