Kreider's interview was interesting. Said the stupid backhanded pass right to Ovie is still bothering him, or at least in the back of his mind. Said he can't stay complacent or he'll make huge mistakes like that in the NHL. Kid is learning fast.

Game 2 is the key. Rangers win that game, you can pretty much call it done.

We must win Game 2. We have yet to hold a 2 game lead at any point in any series.

Some of the whining from Devils fans tonight:

WAAH!! THEY'RE SERENADING MARTY AFTER ONE GOAL??

WAAH!! THEY'RE SERENADING MARTY AFTER AN EMPTY NET GOAL??

WAAH!! TORTORELLA CALLED A TIME OUT WHEN HE KNEW HE COULDN'T MAKE A LINE CHANGE!!

WAAH!! GIRARDI SOLD THAT BOARDING CALL!!

WAAH!! THEY FIRE OFF STREAMS AND FIRE WORKS AND SMOKE MACHINES??

WAAH!!

Suck it.

Great win tonight. Henke kept us in the game until the offense finally woke up.

Long way from being over though. Totally expect the Devils to respond Wednesday night.

If you think about it the kid never had training camp or a regular season experience. he made one bad mistake but other than that he looks great

Mediocre first, ugly second, fantastic third. We're not tired, this is just how we play. LOL. Rangers hockey!

Very satisfying at the end of the game. We really need to capture Game 2 and put our foot on these ****ers' necks.

I know. I blamed him for that goal, because it was his fault and a dumb pass. But other than that stupid play, he's been playing great, especially given how young he is and the situation he was thrown into. It's pretty amazing, actually.

Agree. Devils think they were the better team and are pissed after tonight. Wednesday will be a much tougher game.
And remember, they lost game one to Philly.

I'm going to remain stoic about this one. It's been the story of the post-season so far. Feel good Game 1 to start the series, then **** hits the fan.

Hope I'm eating crow by Wednesday night.

Kreider will be elgiible for the Calder next year.

Got to win game 2 to lock this in. But a great win. Devils lost Game 1 in Philly series also, but I don't think they expected the Rangers D to be this good.

3 Stars:

McD
Henke
Kreider

HM: most everyone, but props to Anisimov, Staal, Stepan, MDZ.

yeah we only win two in a row in a series with our backs against the wall. 0-2 in game 2s so we'll see.

Caps and Sens were a tougher matchup compare to the Devils.

1. lundqvist
2. mcdonagh
3. kreider (arguably 2nd, but if mcd didn't stop those breakaways i'm not too sure lundqvist would've stopped both and then it'd be a really different game)

kreider continues to amaze. lundqvist stood on his head. brodeur was def their #1 star. first goalie i think that we've challenged these playoffs.

I told my cousin who is a die heart Ranger fan that we are not the Flyers, the Flyers have no defense what so ever... We do, this is going to hurt the Devils, like I said earlier lets get the next win.
