Great job taking advantage tonight. NJ must feel like they blew a huge chance with our horrible 2nd. We woke up in the 3rd and got it done. Props to Henrik, McDonagh, Kreider and Anisimov on stellar play tonight. 7 more boys, 7 more.

Pretty nice to finally get a convincing win eh?

What a great TEAM performance.

Starts with the King. His performance, especially in the 2nd won this game.

Other great performers:
Kreider
Pick a dman - Girardi (offensively), McD, Staal, DZ, Stralman
Artie
Gabby - thought he had a phenomenal game despite going pointless. Laying it out there every shift.

That said I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried. The Rangers looked GASSED in the second. The PP looked...like the PP. But then they DOMINATED the 3rd.

Lastly I loved Rupp going after Bernier.

Ps - I strongly disagree with the notion that the Devils dominated the first.

To me, we weren't outplayed by a wide margin in the 2nd. New Jersey got the better of the chances, but a lot of that had to do with their apparently superior ability to put the puck on goal.

Speaking of which... Callahan, Hagelin, Gaborik, and Richards all had high quality chances where they missed the net. That's going to have to change.

For anyone with an android device. Phone or tablet. Download an app called Hockey Radio. Its like 99.

Mute the tv. Put on the app and turn up your device's volume.

It has every radio station of every team in one app.

And it doesn't heat up my device or run the battery down.

****ing awesome app.

Listened to Kenney Albert and Dave Maloney while watching the nbc tv feed.

Lunquist is such a bore stopping the puck. Marty challenges shooters and comes out of his crease. Lunquist sits are far back as possible and falls into a butterfly for every shot no matter what. Quite a boring, but efficient, goaltender. The new NHL is a snooze compared to pre-lockout.

O well. On to game two. the devils won 4 straight against philly. Not worried.

I realize spelling errors may have been made... but i am still buzzed.
Hmm..he must've missed that whole sequence in the 2nd when he stopped 3 or 4 point blank shots from Parise.

Any tips for getting it to sync up? I've tried listening online before but always have that problem.

I thought that the first was evenly split, 2nd went to NJ, and we took the 3rd.

Its not consistent. So i just pause the tv (dvr) for a couple of seconds.

Its not perfect. But its better than listening to the NBC crew.

Unfortunate that Pierre is put in the situation he is on NBC. Because if you listen to him on the radio on sirius xm hes a great hockey guy. Knows his ****. On all levels.

Got to win game 2 to lock this in. But a great win. Devils lost Game 1 in Philly series also, but I don't think they expected the Rangers D to be this good.

3 Stars:

McD
Henke
Kreider

HM: most everyone, but props to Anisimov, Staal, Stepan, MDZ.
Looks like you got them all there dude.

I actually really like the NBC crew sans Eddie. Doc is one of my favorite announcers and Pierre (while strange and eccentric) really knows his ****.

I don't expect the most against the Rangers, but we need more than 21. In the regular season we usually had more than that against these guys except our regular season shutout at the hands of them which was something like 13-14 shots?

I'm not taking anything away from Henrik as he made some great saves tonight, but I'm not convinced 21 of these even went on goal. When Parise took like 3 shots there shorthanded I think Lundqvist got the first shot. The next 2 were stopped by Stralman, and the other bozo next to Lundqvist whoever it was. Those counted as shots on goal, and Doc kept saying save by Lundqvist, and another save!
Is this guy serious?? Henke didn't make all those saves, huh? Wow, they are delusional over there tonight!

I don't want hear from Travis Zajac or any other Devil.

MSG doubles its ratings by combining the post-game. This makes sense for the corporation financially. You would do the same if you were running the company. It's not as if someone will actually turn off the game because they interviewed Parise. Just because he won't be a Ranger for another month and a half, doesn't mean we can't tolerate that he's being interviewed.

Funny. I was actually convinced that those shots weren't on goal too.

And then I saw the replay.
