Awesome win. Now let's see if this team is capable of winning a Game 2!

Lol on TSN, one of the analysts said "Current conference final standings: The Kings lead in the West, the King leads in the East."

Well, to be fair, this is most any fan-base on HF. No need to pick on the Devils fans for something every fan base does. Rather, every fan-base has fans exhibiting that behaviour and it will show in HF, because those types of people tend to post first and think later.

PS: This is also one of the reasons larger fan-bases appear more obnoxious.

Poor Devils fans.

"If we score more goals than them, I think we can win the series. But we have to aim our shots at their heads and injure them"

I think they would rather finish last overall than lose a playoff series to the Rangers.

Isn't it funny how the MSG ice was a non-issue for Devils fans between 1998 and 2004. I'm sure being a better team had nothing to do with it.

This game was like the Rangers-Flyers games from this season. Philly would come hard but Henrik was there to make the key stops. The Rangers would come hard, the opposing goalie couldn't make the key stops.

The Rangers had much more open room last night than they saw against Washington. The Caps played like the Rangers. Holtby was there for the key stops.

The Rangers have played their two worst games in games 2s. Torts has to drill it into their heads about coming out strong in game 2. Carkner attacked Boyle and the Rangers looked lost on the 5 minute major. The Rangers went down 2-0 to the Caps on two stupid breakdowns. They battle back to tie up the game but take two stupid penalties. The Boyle offensive zone penalty and the Richards grabbing Carlson penalty.

If they want another long series, lose game 2.

Take care of business and win game 2. There is a two day break between game 2 and game 3. The Rangers will have the day off on Thursday. Return to the ice on Friday.

Win game 2.

Anyone have any clue where I could find one of those Reebok Rangers playoffs hats many of the players have been wearing in their post game interviews? Ya know the blue ones with the white brim and "New York" written across the brim? I cant find them anywhere.

Exactly how I read that idiots post. Their fans have been leaning on this well rested ******** since they eliminated Philadelphia as if it was a huge advantage, and now suddenly it's a disadvantage. Give me a break.

Also, MartyFatsoUncleDaddy, u mad, bro?

I was at the game last night. All rangers fans, not even that many suits let alone devils fans.

After the game NYPD singled out a group of 4 devils fans hanging around MSG and told them to beat it or they're getting a citation for loitering LOLOL

Winning game 2 is a must. We've yet to have the luxury of a simple 2 game lead in a series. Make it happen.

NJ boards thoughts :
Devils are so fast the NYR made the ice bad on purpose
Shoot at heads and bodies on purpose because then they won't block shots
Henke only made saves because his pads are big

What did #99 say . "'Mickey Mouse Organization "
Yeah , same goes for fanbase

If it's 75 and humid in game 3 let's see what Newark ice looks like

LOL @ Artie!

Anisimov’s two-point performance capped off his locker room performance Monday morning, when he heard about John Tortorella’s latest sound bite and then was asked by the Daily News whether players tire when they play longer playoff series.

“I will not answer this question,” Anisimov said. “Stop coaching, Pat.”

Lol at the poor Debbies fans complaining about the ice. It's not like the Rangers were playing on the exact same ice, or anything like that.

Blatant. IMHO don't care he called a fair game. Blatant & unprofessional IMHO.
Man you guys need to let the Doc hate go because now people are reaching...you know he also called Flyer games for years before moving to the Debbies. It's not as if he was wearing a Devils jersey

I heard Reynolds is shipping extra tin foil to NJ to keep up with the demand for this series...I'm sure besides the ice conspiracy there must have also been a ref conspiracy...

Yeah but somehow their playing style is contingent on having good ice and the Rangers isn't. Ignoring that most of the arenas in the NHL have bad ice at this point (multi use arenas) and it's not like the Rangers gameplan doesn't also involve handling the puck, passing it to teammates, and shooting the puck

Look, if the puck is bouncing and you need to hold it in, use your body or make the safer play and turn around and be ready to get back on defense. Bouncing pucks are nothing new to either of these teams and no one gets an advantage from it

HFNJ: Where bad ice is the worst thing to happen in the world, but a ridiculous bounce off of ****** stanchions to tie (and go on to win) the game are perfectly okay!

I wonder if the NJD fans will complain about the ice if they win a game.

Agreed.

We match up better with the devils than the flyers. I'm glad the quarters played out like they did.

When/ where did he say that? If he really did, this should be a fine or something. Hoping to injure other players just can't be tolerated.
