What makes me the most nervous here is how they are getting into such uncharted territory.....like the fact that if they win tonight they tie an NHL record for consecutive road playoff wins in a single year.

Quote:
The Kings are just the fifth team in NHL playoff history to win their first six road games, one short of the NHL record for most consecutive road playoff wins in a single year. The Kings have won eight consecutive playoff games away from Staples Center overall, one shy of another NHL record set by the New York Islanders in 1982-83. The Kings are 9-1 in this postseason, the best 10-game stretch of the season
Aargh...I hate statistics and averages!!!!!

But every game's a unique, individual game, right? RIGHT!!???

This is gonna be a tough one for the Kings. The Coyotes will be much better, you can bet Tippett will have them ready to go. Kings have to make their own adjustments and continue to play hard, physical, and disciplined. Coyotes do not want to go down, Kings gotta just play their game and keep pushing.

Go Kings Go!

I noticed that it says we have the 15th best PP in the playoffs. Who is below us? I thought we would be the best at being bad on thePP at this point.

I believe that Torres should be on the list for terminal brain cramps instead of the suspension...

We're going to attack. We're going to attack all night if we have to, and if we are not victorious let no man come back alive.

This is the way Sutter has them playing right now. Sometimes when players say the only thing they are focusing on after a win is the next game you know it's not true. I don't get that feeling whenever a Kings' player says it.

Wow! A Kings GDT in the middle of May. Who would have envisioned it early in 2012.

All I know is when I listen to the Rocky 4 soundtrack songs "Hearts on Fire" & "No Easy Way Out" on gameday the Kings are 5-0 and the playoffs.

GO KINGS GO!

Our PP looks so predictable at times. Lot of standing around out there. D needs to get those shots thro and off more quickly. Man I'd love LA to get the power play going tonight.

Historical stats do not bother me in the least. Who cares what another team with no connection to the Kings does years ago? How does that effect the team that is playing now? If the Kings play well they will win, if not then whatever, we'll win the next game.

The Kings were 0-8 against the St. Louis Blues in their playoff history. Did that matter in 2012? No.

I think the problem with the Kings PP is that they don't have to forecheck to generate chances, they are not aggressive enough on the PP, especially compared to how they play 5-on-5 and on the PK.

The other team can stand around waiting to clear rebounds and/or block shooting lanes. Richards has scored 2 goals from the goal line and Stoll scored on a poke check in the crease. I don't remember the 4th PP goal, but I'm sure it wasn't anything special.

The Kings have three players along the blue line with nobody in front. I don't think anyone can make a PP setup like that work in 2012. They seem better at setting it up, but have no clue how to close.

I think the Kings other PP goal was that slapper by Mitchell at the end of the 5 min major against Vancouver.

@ESPNMag: The @LAKings are the 6th team in #NHL history to win at least 8 straight road playoff games. The previous five teams ALL won a Stanley Cup.

Sounds good to me

How Chris Squire played that without having to ice his hands halfway through is amazing. Now I have to blast it during pre-game.
