Sweden's been a hockey nation I've always liked (I actually have them as my 2nd favourite hockey nation behind Canada). They are a great nation and look to be good for the foreseeable future.

I would like to see Countries put together 18-19 year old house league teams, the best houseleague players from all over the country and have a tournement. Thats the most accurate way to look at who is the better hockey nation, instead of taking the cream of the crop (where Canada wins most of the time) you take the averages joes and see which nation produces the best "average" players

Would be nice, but Countries will just lie.

I'd just like to say that the list that the OP has presented is nothing special. Most of those guys have potential, but have proved really nothing in the NHL.

Most of these players have potential star status in the NHL (some are already well on their way). Not to mention Markstrom, Enroth, Lehner & Lack.

Also, why does Norway not produce much by way of NHL talent?
Sweden is also dominant in music and many other fields & businesses.

Maybe it's because of the 21 hours of sunlight & the "midnight sun" effect
