If our coach doesn't do any changes on the lines we have just 1 line that can score, which our coach hasn't done almost the entire tournament. So if he doesn't do changes USA just needs to shut down this line Filppula-Koivu-Jokinen and we can't score. Then the question is how good game will our goalie have which most likely will be Vehanen as Lehtonen got injured in the last game vs USA apparently.

Can we ask the IIHF to play the quarterfinal game like a two legged aggregate game like in the UEFA Champion's league?

Five US defensemen with 4 or more points. That is a lot of offense from the blue line.

I think we expected that. There isn't a lot of scoring skill in the forward ranks.

great job by the US. got to watch the game on dvr, and again they just simply lookded faster then their opponents.

their defense is so good at moving the puck that it almost feels like power play time most shifts.

this is the kind of defense that the US needs to incorporate for Sochi, as we have such skilled and speedy dmen that we can really cause havoc for the opponents.

overall great job from top to bottom. Stastny looked like a legit #1 center today, and Ryan, Okposo, and Patches looked like top line players as well.

I also liked J.T Brown and his speed, as well as Slater being a calming force in his own end with Thompson, Dwyer, and Abdelkader...

good job boys, now the real test begins!

I know, and to be fair to Braun any player can have a bad tournament. Hopefully this will be a good learning experience for him, and a good motivator.

Great victory by the US. Saw the second half of the game, and I think this team has a shot to go all the way to the final. I think they can beat Finland again. Russia will be a good test, but just like last year when they were heavy favourites and lost, the Americans can surprise them.
