This is a very likeable team. Even if you're an Islanders or Devils fan, you only dislike them because of the jersey, not because of the work ethic, etc.

When the lockout started, only three guys on the team blocked shots (Betts, Ward, Ortmeyer) now they've built it as a mandatory character trait. That's called evolution and progress to me.

Stupid haters.

And also, not that anyone is taking it seriously, the best way to shut these people up is to keep on winning and playing hard.
This. Just keep winning. The Caps actually did the smart thing they played our style and gave us a tough time. Funny thing was they were praised for it and they blocked more shots then we did.

Was very nice at school today. Devils fans were awfully quiet.

Can't imagine why.

I'm heading down to Modell's in a couple minutes. I hear they're selling Kreider t-shirts.

I dont think there will be a big turnout since most die hard Ranger fans will probably be at the Rock anyway. But if I cant snag Game 4 tickets, I'll probably go. You need to order tickets: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/1D0048ACA7CB3EA0
idk why they wouldn't do it for game 3 which is on a saturday, lets pick a monday

Maybe hoping for the Rangers to be up 3-0. If it's game 4 with a clinch on the line, more people will pay the $100 to watch at MSG with 18,199 other fans.

Apparently the Devils coach felt that Stepan bumped into Brodeur on the Girardi goal.

Yet Marty said that wasn't the case when he was asked directly by reporters.

I loved how Henrik danced when Parise tried to score on those 2-3 shots

except he only made one save there. the rest were fake shots generated by msg to pad lundqvist's stats.

It's just general admission, right? Sit wherever you'd like. (Unless they close some sections off)

Wow, the DEVILS fans of ALL teams complaining about something like shot blocking?? Wow bizarro world. Rangers please destroy them and the whiney fanbase. Send them packing!! They weren't complaining when their trap style slowed the game down and helped them win games. The NHL didn't make a rule against that. At least shot BLOCKING is a hockey play and has been for as long as people were willing to get in front of a shot. Just absolute idiocy of some people. Keep blocking shots and keep winning.

I wonder what they expect the rangers to do when the shoot the puck? I guess they want us to just move out of the way like the flyers did lol.

Success at Modell's. I grabbed the only one left.

Also had a conversation waiting on the check-out line with a middle-aged woman and her daughter. She was a very casual hockey fan haha. Asked me if I was getting the shirt to go to the game. The daughter told me she heard there were only three games left but her mother was quick to intervene and stated that it was a "best of eight" game series. Also told me how her son was born the same year they won the cup last - 1992.

Nice lady, though. Always good to see more people taking an interest in hockey, regardless if it's temporary or not.

And you can bet that the hometown MSG scorekeeper tacked on some extra shots that never made it to the net or were going wide to keep Lundpads' playoff SV% up, as well.

If it weren't for the blatantly blown call on Del Zotto, the game would've had a totally different dynamic. Get used to it for the rest of the series, I'm sure the NHL wants the two big markets in LA and NY to make it to the finals. Pretty unsurprising to hear that the league won't be investigating the Rangers front office for the soupy ice last night. The worst ice I've ever seen for an NHL arena, and it obviously was a more significant detriment to the more offensively-minded Devils. Coincidence?

The Rags are so lucky. Every night they get dominated and get a fluke goal here or there and then go into hiding like a turtle. They're ruining the game with this six goalie system. I think Anisimov is a lizard-person.
please explain how a team can have more blocked shots than shots taken? I'm no math wiz, but I don't see how that is possible.

lol Bobby Holik's blog mentions 6 goalie system and the bad MSG ice. I've never despised a player more than Holik wearing the Rangers jersey.

Something to do with luck, the refs, and Henrik's pads.

Posted this in the other thread...for anyone going to the viewing party for Game 4, I highly recommend getting there early so you can get a seat with a non-painful view of the screen. I was at the Buffalo game and me and my buddy left after the 1st to go to a bar; the experience was fun but we just couldn't see enough of the game. If we had a Jerry World type screen it would be a different story.
