Lat time I checked, leagues make rules that benefit the league as a whole. I think you are confusing what is best for any particular team with what is best for the game.

What game are you referring to where the home team was down 2-0?

Game one was in New York wasn't it?

Rangers were up 2-0 and the building wasn't quiet.

I think it's an extremely stupid suggestion. How do you define what's a shot and what's a pass? And with a rule like this, it would always be a good idea just to shoot the puck at the defender before he manages to get one of his skates in the air. The games would be played mostly 3-on-3.

You realize there are more teams that just the Rangers, right? Like I said, nobody (except you and other Rangers fanatics) thinks this is a Rangers issue. It's a league issue. No matter how much you think the Rangers are the Yankees of the NHL, they aren't. Outside of the New York market, they are mostly an afterthought.

And I was clearly referring to tonight's game. You know, LA vs. Phoenix.

This thread may have turned into a joke and it probably would have been better to include other teams along with the Rangers who block a high percentage of shots, but it is a serious question to ask if a rule might be changed based on how players can block a shot. People may think it's a big joke now but so where a lot of other rule changes like the trapezoid.
