Thanks to Dustin Brown.

Dude, you are one tough son of a *****. Regardless of what happens on the rest of this wild ride, I just want to say thanks. You have been a pleasure to watch.

I'm holding on to a thread idea for after the finals. You know how they do re-drafts and for example, the Crosby draft, most people rank Kopitar as the new #3 or #2. It will be fun to do a re-draft of 2003 and, if Brown wins the Conn Smythe, it will be even more fun to see how much trouble people have trying to properly gauge Brown's position. And of course we'll have Richards, Carter and...did you know Fraser was also drafted that year, 69th overall? In that draft, 69th is as good as late 1st round in most drafts, lol.

Was thinking about getting a Kopitar jersey, but might change it to get Brown instead.

The guy has a heart the size of Texas. Conn-Smythe worthy for sure.

However Brown gets into beast mode it's working.

I hope you do. I also hope you find the idiot on the Kings board who about three months ago said the Kings should be "disappointed" they got Brown when they could have had guys like Perry etc. I said it then and I'll say it now, Dustin Brown wasa great pick for the Kings in that draft. Even if he wins the Conn Smythe, he won't be a top five pick from that draft, the 2003 first round was arguably the best first round in NHL history outside of maybe 1979, but Brown was more than worthy of the 13th overall pick.

We're lucky Scuds isn't there as well. The Doan hit I was fine with, it looked much worse than it was, but the Hanzal and Morris hits were reckless/dirty.

For those of you who actually read magazines, there was a great article in Sports Illustrated a couple weeks ago on Brown and the damage he incurs during the season. It's a great read and gives you a glimpse into the life off the rink of a physical hockey player. Also has a few tidbits about Brown overcoming Sean Avery's a-holishness. Dustin Brown is the MAN.

To have watched this kid go from his first rookie camp to where he is now has been a real privilege.

Great article. I wonder what boo-boo his kids will find after that Hanzal hit. I wondered if he'd even get up for a moment.

I find it to be very good karma that while Brown is leading the Kings to the third round and putting together a Conn Smythe possible season, Sean Avery couldn't even crack the line up for an AHL team. What a complete ********* he was and is IMO.

Brown emerges

Ever since the trade rumor got so public and Brownie responded by scoring a hat trick - he has jump-shifted to a higher plain of play. He was good before, but now, he is GREAT!

Now, it is meaningful when someone says: "It's Dustin Brown and the Los Angeles Kings!".

Go Brownie! Go Kings!

I am a believer.

When asked after the game how he felt, Brown responded, "No comment." Hope he's not too badly hurt.

Seems like so far, Brown has accelerated away from Quick as the Kings playoff MVP. Not a knock on Quick, it's just that the Kings D and backchecking forwards have just really made life easier on Quick - he's not having to steal games lately.

Brown, on the other hand, has just been off the charts.

It's good to be wrong in this case

Brown has been an absolute monster since the Carter trade, I love watching it

Be glad you guys didn't trade him for Lucic (supposedly there was negotiations going on at the deadline) because Brown actually plays his heart out every playoff game. Unlike Milan.
