BTW @ some of the previous posters: Does it really matter how ugly the goals were? I missed the game, only looked at the boxscore. Saw Carter: 3 goals. There was no "*" next to them or (ugly goal) beside each one. How dare NHL.com misinform me like that...
I guess you can say he single handedly blew out him opponent driving to the net every play, blocking shots, + takaways, HITS???, 2 centering scoring chances that were not finished, 3 goals and drawing penalties.

If he weren't so lazy he would have had 8 goals, blocked every attempted shot, had puck possession the whole game, and hit every Phoenix player so hard they'd pop like an overripe melon.
But, he drank once so he's terrible and awful.

That actually happened before the playoffs started this year. He had an ankle injury a week or so before the post season and made his return in Game 1 of the Quarterfinals.
Before the game started I was thinking, "Man...I hope Carter gets a goal this game." Glad he got a few.
I gotta laugh about the "ugly hat trick" comment and the "he only scores in blowouts" comment. Someone always has something negative to say...as if it's too much of a burden to give credit where credit is due.
People have got to realize that Carter is about way more then just scoring. His defensive play is top notch and that line of him/Richards/Penner has been amazing in these playoffs. Very good defensive line that can score.

I like the fact that he is always a threat. No team can take him lightly. That opens up room for other players to do their thing.
