Bruins - Jets

I hate both teams for different reasons.

Obviously, still bitter about losing to the B's in the SCF. I was born in Winnipeg and spent 19 years in that cesspool, BUT all that hate shouldn't stand in the way of a good hockey trade!

To Boston

Kane, Evander

To Winnipeg

Krejci, David.
Hamilton, Dougie.
2nd round pick.

Kane epitomizes the Bruins game/system. Young, mean, fights and is a brilliant winger. Every pore in my body would resonate with jealousy if Kane had a B on his chest, but he would be unreal with them.

Winnipeg needs depth at C, desperately and Hamilton helps a much needed prospect pool as well as the 2nd rounder.

Ask Chia 'Would you trade Dougie in a package for Evander Kane?"

Why would the Bruins trade out their #1/#2 center and their only real D-prospect to add scoring and toughness, two things they have in spades?

I like Kane but you don't trade for the sake of making a trade.

I think Winnipeg would have to do this. They may not want to part with Kane... but over the long run, I think it would make them a better team.

Done. Now if you'll excuse me, we have to go shove Evander onto the plane to Boston now and then walk away cackling maniacally.

Not a change is Boston giving this much up, as much as we'd want him and still thank him for knocking out Cooke.

terrible for Boston. Big no. That is not a reflection on Kane who I'd love to have in a spiked B. Way too much going to the Jets.

While I think almost every Bruins fan would love to have Kane on the team, the price here is too high. I think Kane and Krejci have close to the same value and the difference is not the best D prospect that the B's have had in 20 or more years.

I can see Bruins fans being high on Hamilton and not wanting to lose him, but I don't think you will find a Jets fan that would trade Kane for Krejci straight up either.

I think the better deal for the two teams would be Krejci for Buff. Could you imagine a Chara-Byfuglien pairing?

You think Krejci gets Kane straight up?

That's fine. Krejci has proven more so far in his career while putting up a few more points while Kane has the potential to do more but hasn't actually done it yet. I can see why you feel that way. But like I said the difference between them is not Dougie Hamilton.

If we are going to figure Kane's potential to be better than Krejci then you have to figure Hamilton's potential to be a #1 defenseman as well.

I think there is at least a chance that Hamilton will be better than anyone in this deal so I want the Bruins to just hang on to Dougie.

It would take a lot to get Kane I am sure, I just think it would take too much.

I agree, the difference in a Kane for Krejci trade is not Hamilton.

thanks for the incite from someone who doesn't even live here anymore.

Winnipeg probably would do this trade.

i really like evander kane but i guess he is a lw and that is a problem fitting in for boston. I guess marchand would be the guy that loses his spot to kane? it means it would make sense for marchand to be the first piece of the puzzle headed back to winnipeg.

i mean... assuming winnipeg wants to move kane and becomes a motivate seller. any rumors hes unhappy in winnipeg?

i dont really think winnipeg needs krecji and hamilton is an untouchable. id given up one of the prized kid forwards in boston's depth chart as part of the deal... i guess knight makes the most sense for winnipeg. and id give up a first to cause i love kane.

so my counter proposal would be marchand, a first, and knight for kane. it would hurt to see so much depth headed out the door but kane is real real good imo and worth it. he isnt enough to get me to agree to move hamilton though

doughty is really really good on the ice but hes already had some off-ice issues and hes being paid top dollar. id have a hard time flipping hamilton for him when hamilton reeks of being a real character guy on top of being alot bigger too

its real tough to move hamilton when he has so much future waiting and will be cost controlled for the next few years but you did name two of the very best young dmen in the nhl and if hamilton ends up a better on-ice performer then these guys then he has absolutely nothing to apologize for cause this is about as good as it gets

still... i wouldnt deal hamilton straight up for either without a hell of a lot of consideration and without a whole ton of angst that i was doing the wrong thing
