Not that I particularly care but seems like a guy with a problem to me.
I remember those incidents (they were in the tabloids). Maybe a regular job has calmed him down a bit, since as I remember those incidents happened before his job at Pelicans and also right after he ended his career in the NHL ("don't you know who I am?!" )

Who knows though, I don't obviously know the guy personally and never liked him much but it seems a little streched to think that he could hold two jobs with a serious drinking problem.

They have even alcohol maps now.

Our current goalie, Edgars Masaļskis, had a drinking incident in the old town of Rīga. He was also injured. Doesn't mean he has problems either. Athletes and alcohol is just a bad combination, be it once a year or every day.

Agree.

Also it's bad for ex-athletes too. One of the best Finnish cross country skier ever drank himself to death at the age of 42 after his career was over.

I guess it's the feeling of emptiness in one's life after years of practice and competition.

Some love for Nurminen's hometown: Lahti "The Finnish Chicago" a town with a badass rep.
