Someone had the idea of a Kane for Malkin swap in the Kane thread. I'd like to see what Pens think of this deal. As a Hawks fan, I do not want to trade Kane. And, I wouldn't even trade Malkin but if they did, this is very good value. You get a young star playmaking winger and our best prospect who is also a local kid.
April 1st has already came and went.

Malkin has HOF potential talent. He is definitely worth a lot more than PKane. I'd suggest PKane+Seabrook+Saad+2x 1sts as a starting point.

The gap between Malkin and Kane is bigger than Saad, but looking at the contract situation, I wouldn't offer more. If Malkin doesn't want to re-sign with Hawks it isn't worth it

LOL, thanks, I realized the Chris, but totally blanked on the other part, so assumed it was a typo.

Yeah... that's it.

Where as in reality we're so shocked at the retarded and very lopsided trade offer that we can't even be bothered to do anything other than to laugh and move on.

Not a fan of Niskanen.
This statement shows why you will never be considered for a position as GM of a beer league team, let alone an NHL team. Every GM in the league trades Toews for Malkin straight up, no matter what the cap hit is.

Leddy is actually the only useable piece, but if you do follow this sport too, you will know that Pens aren't looking for young bottom pairing Dmen as they have enough of their own.

So, whatever, I apologize if I hurt poor Nicky's feelings, there is just no deal to be head around Bolland. As a matter of fact, there is no deal to be had, were the main piece is a considerably worse 3C. Just no.

Not a fan of Niskanen.
Toews isn't close to approaching the player that Malkin is. Malkin was on pace for 119 points this year, 56% higher than Toews' career high. And Malkin only makes 2.5 million more. Keep worshiping those intangibles and wondering why they haven't won you anything since your team lost its depth.

The Penguins have no need to allow even more goals against.

Go ask Detroit if they would have traded Yzerman for Gretzky.

I cannot, for the life of me, comprehend somebody actually saying Kane and Saad could get Malkin.

The only offer that Pitt would think about would be Toews and Kane. And that isnt something the Hawks would offer. There is nothing on the Hawks currently or in their system that would actually get Malkin short of Toews and Kane. And its funny considering just how much Hawk fans bleat on and on about how great certain prospects are.

You mean Kruger and Kane couldnt get Malkin?
